Tea Party

Summary : In which Dan and Phil organize a tea party for their daughter

"Daddy Daddy" Dan heard his daughter's voice from his room.

He set down the laptop on his bed and got up to go to his daughter's room.

"What is it Darcy darling?" he asked as she appeared on the doorway flashing her usual smile her two front teeth missing.

She grabbed Dan's knees and dragged him in her room.

"I need your help Daddy. What should I wear?" she asked Dan pointing at the two pretty dresses lying on her bed. One of it was a lilac one and the other was a cute yellow one.

Dan chuckled a little.

"Well they are both quite nice" Dan said amused.

"I know that Daddy. But which one is nicer?"

"I um I think you should wear something darker" Dan said.

"I knew you would say that" Darcy said pouting.

Dan laughed.

"I should ask daddy" Darcy said leaving the room running on her tiny little feet. Dan knew Phil would give him much better advice.

After a minute or two Darcy reappared dragging Phil with her. Phil was wearing an apron with strawberries on it. The front was stained with flour and he had his glasses on. He looked so adorable that Dan couldn't help but smile.

"Daddy daddy tell me what should I wear" she said to Phil.

Phil gave Dan a wink before kneeling down besides Darcy.

"I think you should wear the lilac one" Phil said.

"Are you sure?" Darcy asked.

"Yes you will look lovely" Phil said kissing Darcy's forehead.

"Okay daddy" she said happily picking up the dress. "Now daddy you have to get the cupcakes ready everybody will be here soon"

"Yes my love." Phil said.

"Everything will be perfect Darcy honey you don't have to worry" Dan smiled.

"Thank you Daddy" she said hugging them both. They both kissed each of her cheeks before they left to go to the kitchen.

"She is growing up so fast" Phil said with a sigh as he started to fill the moulds with the batter.

"I know right" Dan said.

"I remember when she was just a baby" Phil said tearing up a little.

"Me too. She would cry and then we would have to shush her. It was so hard but we did it"

"Yeah. Now she is having a teaparty too" Phil said grinning.

"Yeah and we need it to be absolutely perfect" Dan said as he placed the cupcakes in the oven.

"Daddy daddy how do I look?" Darcy said as she appeared in the kitchen wearing her dress.

Dan and Phil both let out an 'aw' as as she twirled around a bit.
