Deadlox's POV
Deadlox opened his eyes. He was laying on the ground, in what appeared to be a large cave. The entrance was a few yards away, and the star filled night sky was visible through the opening.
He had no idea where he was, or how he got there. All he remembered was that he was walking through a cave with his pickax, heading towards some iron, and he heard voices. He saw a light up ahead, but when he went to investigate- well, that's all he could remember, before everything had gone black.
He lay there for a while, wondering what to do, and how he was going to find his way home. He settled on getting up and going outside, just to get his bearings on where he was.
He struggled to his feet, but he surprisingly had little balance. He fell to his knees. He tried to stand again, and as he immediately fell back down again, he realized that he was extremely short. Even when he was standing, he seemed no more than four feet tall. His hands also felt- different. What was going on here? He looked down at his hands, but they weren't hands. Instead, he saw two paws, covered in glossy brown fur.
He opened his mouth to scream in shock, but what came out was a high-pitched bark. His heart pounding, he rushed out of the cavern, surprised by his own speed. The landscape rushed by as he sped along the plains. He stopped suddenly, aware of something else. There were different smells- everywhere. His sense of smell had improved amazingly, along with his sense of sight.
He began to look around, searching for something. Then he saw it- water! He rushed up to it and took a few deep breaths, not knowing what to expect. The water was as smooth as glass, a perfect mirror. He had to find out what the heck was happening. He hesitated, then closed his eyes as he leaned over the pond. He slowly opened them, and saw- not a human's face- but a wolf's unmistakable muzzle.
He opened his mouth in surprise, and gasped. So did the wolf. He turned his head, and so did the wolf. He examined the reflection that had to be his own- it had an extremely glossy brown pelt, and brilliant green eyes. The paws and legs were long, and then, as he looked at it's ears, he saw it. Something that confirmed his worst fears- the wolf was wearing a black and green headset.
Deadlox stumbled backwards, and fell onto his side, breathing hard. He looked around, for anything, anyone, as long as they were human. But instead he saw a creeper, five feet away from him. He gasped, and it looked at him. The monster came a few inches closer, then walked off, as if Deadlox wasn't even there.
It struck him, at last. The reflection in the water was wearing his headset. He was extremely fast, and had amazing scents of smell and sight. He had paws, and the creeper completely ignored him. There was no denying it now- he had become a wolf.
