Wolflox (a Deadlox Fanfiction)

Chapter 20

Sky's POV

"What the-" Dawn said, but was cut off by Jasmine screaming. When he and his friends walked into the cave, they had found a red wolf and killed it when it lunged for them. When they walked out of the cave, they had come into a large clearing. But as Sky looked around, he was shocked to see that it was filled with aggresive wolves. They were closing in on him and his friends!

A jet-black wolf pounced on Jasmine, and a small white one pulled Jason to the ground. Sky slashed at them with his sword, and at once the grass was splattered with blood. The white one limped off of Jason, but the black one turned on Sky instead. He made a swift swipe with his sword, and it was instantly dead.

Instantly, a large silver wolf snarled in anger. It pounced on Sky, and he was pinned to the ground. Dawn ran up and made am wild slash at it's back, and it growled at her. Everyone around them leapt into action.

Sky and Jason were fighting a tan she-wolf, but they saw the pups behind it. They weren't about to kill a mother. They stepped back, and it stumbled over to it's three children, looking back at them and  snarling quietly. Sky looked around, and saw his friends fighting for their lives. All the wolves were fighting viciously, ready to kill the intruders. Except for three of them- a yellow wolf, a rusty one and- a brown wolf! Sky looked around, but it was the only one with that color fur. This was the wolf that had killed or injured Deadlox!

"Dawn! Jason! Do you see that wolf?" he shouted, pointing at the brown one.

"Yeah- is it the one we need to kill?" Jason said.

"Of course it is!" Dawn said, finishing off another red wolf. "Should we go after it?"

"We just need to kill that one, spill as little of the other wolves' blood as you can. Get Jasmine and Ryan, and then we chase it!" Sky shouted over the howls that were echoing from the wounded pack.

They all raced through the fight, and the wolves began to howl in victory. They thought they were giving up. The group of humans, with Sky in the lead, rushed to avenge their friend. The brow wolf realized what was happening and dove off through the trees. The yellow and rust-colored she-wolves bolted after him. Sky found himself chasing three wolves through the forest, leading his friends on a bold chase.

They fought their way through the dense forest, trying to keep up with the wolves. But the animals had a much easier time navigating through the overgrown trees. Sky, Dawn and Jason wildly cut through the trees with their swords, but the wolves were out of sight. They stopped running, all of them breathing heavily. Their chance to avenge Deadlox was gone.
