After that Sunday dinner, I just been keeping to myself and studying. My so called friends were mad that I wasn't going out with them. Mind you they would call me Mixy. I ended up going to the computer lab that was near my apartment complex. I stayed off campus but it was still considered on campus living.
I walked into the building and started talking to my girl that worked at the desk. We chatted for a while until someone came and hugged me from behind. I didn't know who it was but he sure did smell good.
"Look at you Sasi" Bray said
"Girl I don't even know who this is but he smells good"
She shook her head at me and the guy let me go.
As soon as I turned around I regretted it.
"Hey Sasi why you look so down to see me. But you just said I smelled good"
"Didn't know it was you"
"Don't treat me like that. I was an ass but I want the old ting back"
"What old thing did we have? You wanted some. I almost gave it up and I'm glad I didn't lose it to you"
His whole facial expression changed. He started to clinch his jaw
"So you gave it to someone else?"
"Wouldn't you like to know"
I signed in and went to the computer lab. Guess who followed me
"Mommy been asking about you?" He asked
"That's funny I just talked to her yesterday. Maybe you should speak to your own mother more"
His mother is a pastor. Her and my mother were cool, well bestfriends. We used to date but broke it off. We ended up coming to the same area for school and started talking. One night he came over and I almost lost it to him. Glad I didn't because a few minutes later, he was talking about he would be mine but I wouldn't be his only one.
"Look stop treating me like that. I'm sorry"
Right on cue Ray walked in.
"Bruh I been looking for you. We supposed to be playing a game. Where the girl you saw at?" Ray asked
I looked at Ray
"Oh what's up Sasi. But Ty for real where that girl you was chasing at?" Ray asked again
Ty got up and tried to drag Ray out the room
"He was chasing after me" I yelled
There were only two other people in the lab with me. One was a guy and the other one was a female.
"Girl Ty ain't no good. Leave him alone"
"Oh I know, I grew up with him"
The dude that was sitting there started laughing.
"Ya ain't right. Let the guy be. " The guy said
"So you would be ok with your little sister having her heart played with because of a guy like him?" I asked
"See that's different. My sister would know how to read guys and what not" He replied
"It will always be that one guy that girls fall dumb for" The girl said
"Yea you right. Now I see ya point. But you also need to know how to read people" He said
We both looked at him. He smirked.
"I'm Tavon" He said
"I'm Sasi"
"I'm July, nice to meet you both."
"Wow we all got uncommon names" he said
We all laughed. We kept talking and got to know each other. None of us ended up doing work but it didn't matter.
