Was it Worth it?

Present

I'll be the first to admit that I ran away from my problems. I was tired of being hurt and I did something that I shouldn't of have done.

"Come on Q put on your shoes for mommy please" I asked Q

I stop dressing Jaze and looked at Q. "Yes that's mommy big boy" I said as I clapped. I finished getting Jaze dressed and put them both in the stroller while I grabbed our bags. I got them out the house and locked the door. I turned around and looked at my the home that I had for the last two years. I was leaving this home to go back and face my fears. There were things that I needed to change. I got into the uber with them. I held Jaze and looked out the window as we headed to the airport.

In the last two years I have accomplished a lot. I have been on my own with two kids, finished school, been financially stable. But my daughter needed to know her father and he needed to know about her. 

The day I left home wasn't easy for me. Ray and I got into a very bad fight and I left. Two months into me being gone, I found out about Jaze. Nyla, Riz and Mama knows about her. It's about time Ray meets her. 

Before I knew it we were pulling up to Ma house. Riz met me outside and helped me with our things. 

"Yo she looks just like me"

"No she looks like her dad and you"

"Nah that's my baby. She's mine" 

"Yo Riz who is that with you?" We heard from behind us

 As soon as he opened is mouth I knew that was Ray. I stood there, I was scared to turn around 

Riz had already took our things inside so he took Jaze from me and turned around and looked at Ray.

"Ray this is Jaze, our twin"

"What you mean our twin?" 

I put Q down and turned around and looked at him 

He looked at me and shook his head. He mumbled something but walked up to Riz and picked her up. He looked at her and smiled. He kissed her cheek and started playing with her 

Riz took Q from me and went inside. I sat down on the steps and looked at them. I took a picture of them 

"Hello Raymond"

"Hi Sasi"

"I'm sorry. I found out after I left and .."

"I knew about her for a while now. I was just waiting for you to tell me about her. I want to spend time with my daughter. So can I take her?"

I looked at them and started to no 

"Yea you can but take her carseat, there are diapers and bottles in this bag and her stroller is inside. She can't fully walk on her own just yet. If you give her real food just give it to her in small pieces"

"Sasi I know how to care for my baby" Ray took her and her things and left. 

I watched as he pulled off and drove away. Riz had to come outside and pull me inside

"I never been away from my baby before" I said as I tried to not cry.
