I got out the shower and walked into my room. I opened my bedroom door because someone was banging on the front door. I snatched the door open and came face to face with Ray.

He grabbed me and kissed me. I didn't kiss back at first but then I did. Couple minutes later I got cold. So I stepped back and he came into the apartment I closed the door then went into my room and put on some clothes. I grabbed my phone and sat on the couch with Ray.

"So why did you push me away Ray?"

Ray put his phone down and faced me

"I don't like to see you hurt and it just reminded me of my life"

"What do you mean?"

"I know what it feels like to lose a parent. Well both."

"I thought ya still had ya dad?"

"We do but he out doing him. I lost my mom about 2 years ago. Actually the same day you lost yours. I didn't like you because Riz wasn't around to be there but his mom was. See My mom was with my dad first and he cheated on her with Riz mom. She had Riz and that broke my mom heart but she still stayed. After she had me she told him it was over. I wasn't really that cool with Riz mom but she always been there for me. Her and my mom was ok but I didn't like her but then I put the hate away and opened up to her. Just like Riz mom only had one child so did my mom. "

"Wow Riz tells me everything but he never told me that"

"Cause no one talks about it because speaking about it does damage"

I looked down at my phone that kept going off while Ray was talking

"Answer it. It seems important"

I answered my phone

"Hi Ma An" (Syn mother)

"Baby syn just went into labor. She having the baby"

"I'm about to catch a flight don't tell her."

"Yea about that what happened between ya"

"My dad passed and she went MIA"

"Oh my gosh Sasi, I'm sorry I did not know."

"It's ok and thanks"

"Her and that child broke up. She been acting off and now the baby coming 2 months early"

"I'm about to be on my way there. I'll see you soon"

I hung up and noticed that Ray wasn't sitting next to me anymore. I walked into my room and found him packing my clothes

"I thought that I could help. I got us some plane tickets and we leave in an hour n a half"

I took over packing my stuff so he could go pack his stuf

3 hours later

I walked into the delivery room just as Syn was pushing out my nephew Quedell. I cut the cord and held him before I gave him to her.

I took pictures of them and smiled.

Syn looked at me. The nurse took the baby. They started to clean her up and I walked out
