Chapter 17 - The Deal (Part 2)

Tenma's P.O.V.

Aki-san agreed to be my okaa-san. I mean, more likely to called okaa-san by me. I'm really happy because of that but, a part of me is still depressed and unhappy because Tsurugi is still asleep. 'Will he wake up this morning?' I thought to myself. When we went in okaa-san's house where apartment was too. When we went in, we found Ichinose-san, Mark-san, and Dylan-san in the living room. Oh yeah, Ichinose-san introduced me to Mark-san and Dylan-san when they came back from the med tech clinic yesterday. "Oh. Hey, Aki, Tenma" Ichinose-san greeted us when he noticed us come in. Dylan-san and Mark-san waved at us with a smile. Aki-san--- I mean, okaa-san nodded and smiled back. "Ohayo, Ichinose-san, Mark-san, Dylan-san" I said then bowed. "No need to bow, Tenma" Dylan-san said. "H-Hai" I answered.

After a few minutes, okaa-san went to the kitchen to make some lunch for us. Ichinose-san went to help her while I stayed in the living room with Dylan-san and Mark-san. "So, Tenma. How's your friend doing in the hospital?" Mark-san suddenly asked out of the blue. My eyes widened. I didn't know what to answer. 'Should I tell them that Tsurugi's awake?' I thought to myself. I tell them then.... Wait! I promised Tsurugi that I won't tell anyone! I better find an answer. "Tenma, you alright?" Mark-san asked worriedly. I nodded and said, "H-Hai-, Mark-san" while thinking of an answer then, an idea struck my mind! "I-I'm just really worried about him and......... He hasn't woken up yet" I explained. Well, it's all true. I'm really, really, really worried about him. I'll do anything just for him to wake up. I want to tell him what I feel and Yuuichi also told me back then that Tsurugi............ Loves me too.

Third Person's P.O.V.

Tenma sighed in depression. He saw Mark and Dylan looked at each then at him. "We know that it hurts to see your friend in the hospital, Tenma" Dylan said to him. "We also felt what your feeling right now when....." Mark stopped. Tenma looked at him and he can see the sad expression in his face. He couldn't continue. "Arigato, Mark-san, Dylan-san" is what Tenma only said then smiled. They smiled back at him. "Boys! Lunch is ready!" Aki's voice boomed throughout the house. Tenma, Dylan, and Mark all looked at each other then, nodded. They stood up from the couch and went to the kitchen to eat.

"What time are you going back to the hospital, Tenma-kun?" Aki asked her 'now called son' Tenma. "Can I go there after lunch, okaa-san?" Tenma asked while not looking at her. Ichinose, Mark, and Dylan all spit out there food and looked at them. "OKAA-SAN?!?!?!?!" the three American soccer freaks all yelled together. Aki just giggled at this. She forgot to tell them about this earlier. "Well, yes. I agreed to be called okaa-san by Tenma-kun" she said with a sweet smile. The three of them looked at Aki then at Tenma. Tenma nodded shyly. The three regained themselves and sat down. "Geez, I did not expect that but neat" Mark said with a smile. They all nodded and continued eating. Aki agreed to Tenma to go back in the hospital after lunch so after eating, Tenma quickly went to his room and took a warm shower, got dressed and took whatever he's going to need to the hospital. After he's don,e he went downstairs to say to his okaa-san that he'll be going to the hospital now. "Okaa-san, I'll be going now" Tenma said as he opened the door, he waited for her response then he heard her. "Alright, Tenma-kun, just be careful" and after Aki said that, Tenma said, "Hai" then went off.

What Tenma didn't know that his life is about to change. Few more steps and everything will change. He didn't notice that someone was watching him and following him silently like an assassin.
