Chapter 54 - I can play! (Part 3)

Third Person's P.O.V.

After Tenma was no longer in sight, Endou sighed which caught the attention of both Tsurugi and Shindou. "Why was he playing?" Endou asked. "We have no idea, coach" Tsurugi answered. "Yeah, when we arrived here he was already playing. And he's still a pro at it" Shindou said. "I don't think Aki will be happy about this" Endou said to them. "Anyway, you two better get home. You still have classes tomorrow" Endou said to them. Shindou nodded. "Alright, coach. I'll see you tomorrow, Tsurugi, coach. Ja ne" Shindou said and grabbed his things then left. "Aren't you going home yet, Tsurugi?" Endou asked confusingly. The navy haired boy shook his head. "I still have to visit someone in the hospital" Tsurugi simply said then grabbed his things. "Ja ne" and with that said, Tsurugi left. 'I wonder how Aki will react when she finds out that Tenma was playing' Endou thought with worry. After a few seconds, he left to go home as well.

Tenma's P.O.V.

I ran as fast as possible to get home. I don't want okaa-san to get worried. I said that I'll be home at 5:30! And I'm 30 minutes late to what I said! xd

After I took a tight turn, I ran and ran until I reached the apartment. I panted hard, trying to catch my breath. After a few minutes, I stood up straight and knocked on the door. I waited for a few minutes when the door was opened by non-other than my American boyfriend. "Hi, Tenma-chan. Where have you been? Aki-san's very worried about you" he said with a worried face. "Gomen, I was so focused in playing earlier that I didn't noticed the time" I said while rubbing the back of my head. "Playing? What do you mean 'playing'?" Louis asked. I looked at him and saw fear? "U-Uhmm, I-I was just playing soccer...." I answered with a stutter. I heard him sigh then shook his head. "Come in already, you might get a cold" he said as he motioned me to come in. I got confused but nodded then went inside. "Aki-san's in the kitchen" I heard Louis said. I nodded then went to the kitchen to see okaa-san already finished cooking. I gulped at this. I actually haven't seen okaa-san get mad before but to tell you what I think? I AM SO GROUNDED.

Third Person's P.O.V.

Tenma slowly walked in the kitchen, avoiding to look at Aki. He took a deep breath then spoke. "U-Uhmm, o-okaa-san? I'm home...... "Tenma said to her. Aki stopped whatever she was doing then looked at Tenma. "Oh hello, Tenma-kun" Aki answered with a smile. 'She's not mad?' Tenma asked. "Y-You're not mad at me for....... Coming home late?" Tenma asked confusingly. "Let's talk about that later, for now, what do you mean when I heard you saying that you we're 'focused on playing soccer', Tenma-kun?" She asked the brunette. "Oh, I saw a soccer ball earlier and decided to play. Tsurugi and Shindou were also there and they played with me until....... Hehe, I didn't mind the time" Tenma answered while rubbing the back of his neck. Aki sighed at what he said. "Tenma, you might be wondering why I don't look mad, aren't you?" Aki said to Tenma without a '-kun' in his name. Tenma gulped. "H-Hai" was Tenma's answer.

"You want to know why?" Aki asked again. 'I don't think I want to know....' Tenma tought."W-Why?" Tenma asked, afraid of how his okaa-san managed to stay calm. "Because I'm not used to be mad. And for that reason, I'm just going ground you.Maybe, for 3 weeks?" Aki said eyeing the brunette. Tenma's jaws dropped. "N-Nani?! 3 weeks?!" Tenma asked in disbelief. "Why?!" Tenma added.

Aki took another deep sigh. "Tenma-kun, I'm sorry, I don't really want to ground you but alright. Just 3 days, is that fine with you?" she asked. Tenma couldn't do anything but nod. 'At least 3 days is better than 3 weeks' Tenma thought. "And one more thing, Tenma-kun" Aki said. Tenma looked at her with a confused look. "What is it, okaa-san?" Tenma asked. "I don't want to see or know that you're still playing soccer" Aki said seriously.
