Chapter 18 - The Deal (Part 3)

Third Person's P.O.V.

While Tenma was walking to the hospital, he took a turn at the corner then found a person in a red and black jersey with a hood on. Tenma was uncomfortable and was hesitating to go on but it was the only way to the hospital. 'Who is he?' Tenma thought. He took a deep breath and kept on going until he passed by the said person. After a few more steps away from the person, the person spoke. "Matsukaze Tenma, am I correct?" the person's voice was deep and can send chills down anyone's spine. This made Tenma nervous. He didn't dare to turn his look at that person. "H-Hai" Tenma said trying to hold himself from freaking out. He heard the person give a slight dark laugh. Tenma gathered all the courage he has and turned to the person. "W-Who are you?" Tenma asked confidently. He can't see or tell who the person was because if its hood on. The person smirked but Tenma didn't see that. "I thought you could remember me, Matsukaze" the person said then smirked. Tenma was confused. 'Just who is this person?!' Tenma thought starting to freak out. "W-Why would I remember you if I don't know you are" Tenma answered.

"Oh. Well you should remember me because" the person trailed off. "I am the reason why he's in the hospital" he continued. Tenma's eyes widened at this. 'C-Can it really be him? No! It can't be!' he thought to himself. The person slowly took of its hood to reveal a white-cream haired boy smirking at him. "Y-You! What are you doing here?!" Tenma said furiously. Anger was taking over him. He remembered clearly what he did to Tsurugi. "Now you remember" the boy said still smirking. "But I'll introduce myself again for you. I'm Phantom 8's captain, Baku Aomine. Nice to see you again, Matsukaze Tenma" he said. "What do you want?!" Tenma said to him. "What do I want, you ask? *smirks* Well, I'm here to give you an offer that you can't resist, that's why I'm here" Baku explained to him then crossed his arms. Tenma didn't say anything, he was thinking that it might be a trap. "What is it?" Tenma asked not taking his eyes off of Baku.

Baku's face expression became dead serious. He looked at Tenma directly in the eye sending Tenma a death glare that made a shiver ran down Tenma's spine. "Phantom 8 is going to have another battle with Raimon. It's going to be round 2" he said still making eye contact with Tenma. "What's it to us to accept? You guys will just put us all in our misery! I don't want to see my teammates getting hurt one by one!" Tenma shouted at him. Baku was still making eye contact, his expression was still dead serious. "Watch the tone of your voice, Matsukaze. You still haven't heard the REAL offer. The battle isn't an offer though" he paused then gave an evil smile.

"It's an order" he continued with a smirk but his eyes showed seriousness and he was not joking. "What's the offer then?" Tenma asked determined to get a straight answer. "The offer is: Our coach, Gouenji Seya will make Tsurugi Kyousuke wake up IF you join us" Baku said back to his serious expression. "R-Really? Sh-She can wake him up?" Tenma asked confused and shocked. 'But what if it's a lie? And wait! Tsurugi said he'll see me tomorrow morning!' Tenma thought to himself. "Yes" Was Baku's only answer. "H-How will I know if you're not lying?!" He asked again. "Remember last night? Tsurugi Kyousuke was awake, am I correct? It was because of coach's help that he was awake but not long enough because she had put him back into a coma again" He explained to him in monotone voice. "B-Back in a coma? But Tsurugi said he'll see me later! You're lying!" Tenma said to him while clenching his fists. "Oh, am i? Let's see about that, Matsukaze. Why don't you call your friend Takuto and ask him if Tsurugi's awake or not? Let's see who's lying" he said with a smirk.

Tenma's P.O.V.

'I better think this through and fast!' I thought to myself. "Fine then" I said then grabbed my phone and started to call Shindou. I saw Baku just standing there with a smirk in his face. After a few ring, Shindou answered.

Shindou: Hi, Shindou speaking

Tenma: Shindou, it's Tenma. Can I ask if you're already in Tsurugi's hospital room?

Shindou: Well, actually I am, Tenma. I just got her a few minutes ago, why?

Tenma: Is Tsurugi......... still in a coma?

Shindou: *sigh* Apparently yes, Tenma

Tenma: A-Arigato (hangs up)

"Who's lying now?" Baku said to me. I was growing furious! "So what now, Matukaze? Choose wisely" he added, his smirk still plastered in his face. 'What am I going to do?!' I thought to myself. "Tick, tock. Tick, tock, Matsukaze. This offer is not unlimited you know?" he said to growing annoyed. I took a deep breath and thought about it again. 'If I join them then Tsurugi will wake up but I won't be there to see that' I thought to myself. *sigh* Maybe I should but a part of me is saying that I shouldn't. Should or shouldn't? Should? Shouldn't? Ughh, I'm confused. Fine!!!
