Chapter 12 - Help has arrived (Part 3)

Third Person's P.O.V.

Ichinose, Dylan, Mark, and Gouenji were assisted by a nurse to a medical technologist or med tech for short. Medical technologists are the ones who analyze and test body fluids and tissues. They're going to see if Ichinose and the others are compatible donors for Tsurugi. Aki stayed behind with Yuuichi and Endou. She told the three girls to accompany Ichinose and the others so they won't get lost on the way back to Tsurugi's hospital room. Aki was sitting on the couch with Tenma's head on her lap. Tenma was still fast asleep up to now. 'You must've been so tired, Tenma-kun' Aki thought and smiled while caressing the boy's head. It was already 6:30 pm and Shindou and the others haven't come backed yet and Endou was starting to get really worried. After waiting for a few more minutes, someone knocked on the door. "I'll get it" Endou said when he stood up from his chair. "Kindly tell who ever it is to be not so loud" Aki said. She doesn't want Tenma to wake up since he needs his rest. Endou nodded and went to the door. He thought that it might be Shindou and the others so he opened the door only to find Haruna and Kidou. "Oh, hey guys" Endou said with a smile yet he was a little disappointed that it wasn't the others.

"Hey, Endou. I bought some onigiris in case you guys get hungry" Haruna said with a smile. "Thanks, come in guys" Endou said and led them in. Kidou and Haruna saw Tsurugi still unconscious with Yuuichi beside him and Aki who was sitting on the couch with Tenma's head on her lap. They saw Aki put a finger in her lip and winked at them. They both nodded and understand what she meant. Haruna went to the table to put the onigiris and sat on a chair beside it. Kidou was leaning on the wall beside her. "I see Shindou and others haven't come backed yet" Kidou said. Endou nodded and said, "Yeah, I'm starting to get worried" Then Endou's phone buzzed. It was a text from Shindou. He opened the message and read it. It says:

Shindou Takuto – 10/18/15 – 6:38 pm

Endou-san, we already have the two bags and we're already on our way there. May I ask what room number is Tsurugi's hospital room is again?

After Endou read the message, he looked at Yuuichi and asked, "What room number is this?" Yuuichi answered, "Room 108, second floor. Why?" Yuuichi was curious to why Endou asked the room number. "Shindou and the others are on their way here and they were asking what room number is this again" Endou explained, he only nodded in response. Endou replied back to Shindou. He said:

Alright, be safe on the way here. The room number is Room 108, second floor.

Then he clicked send. "Hey, Aki, I think you should wake Tenma up. He might be getting hungry" Haruna said. Aki nodded and shook Tenma gently. "Tenma-kun, time to wake up" she said. "Five more minutes please" Tenma said softly and had gone back to sleep. Aki sighed but smiled. "But you might be getting hungry. Come on, wake up, Tenma-kun. The onigiris will get cold" She said while gently tapping his shoulders. "Hai, okaa-san" Tenma suddenly said and slowly sat up. Everyone's eyes widened at what he said. Tenma just called Aki 'okaa-san'! They all looked at Aki and they saw the surprised expression in her face. Tenma rubbed his eyes and realized what he just said. He looked at Aki and said, "A-Aki-san! G-Gomen!" then bowed. Aki just smiled and nodded. "It's fine, Tenma-kun" she answered. "The onigiris are in the table if you want some, Tenma. Haruna made them" Endou added who was clearly eating already. "H-Hai, arigato" Tenma said. He was still a little embarrassed to what she just called his Aki-san but it felt good. Tenma always thought of Aki as his second mother though.
