Chapter 55 - It can't be true

Third Person's P.O.V.

"I don't want to see or know that you're still playing soccer" Aki said seriously. Tenma's eyes widened at this. "Nani?!" Tenma suddenly said. "But, why?!" Tenma asked. "Because you're condition won't be able to handle it" Ichinose said as he entered the kitchen.

Time seemed to stop for Tenma. 'Wait, I can't....... Play soccer again?' Tenma thought to himself with complete disbelief. "W-Why......?" Tenma asked, disbelief written in his face. "Your body can't handle extreme and tiresome sports so keep you from danger, you are no longer allowed to play sports like soccer" Aki said sadly. "N-No..... It's not true! It can't be true!" Tenma said trying to hold in the tears that were threatening to fall. "It's true, Tenma-kun...... But if you really want to play soccer then........ We can't stop you....." Aki said then smiled sadly. "Just be careful" Ichinose added.

 

Tenma couldn't handle it any longer. He let the tears fall from his baby blue eyes. "Tenma-kun....." Aki called. She was about to say something when Tenma suddenly ran to his room and locked the door shut. She just sighed at this. "He needs some time alone, don't worry, Aki" Ichinose said then hugged Aki. She only nodded at what he said.

Louis's P.O.V.

After I heard Tenma ran to his room, I sighed while sitting on the couch in the living room. Now that Tenma-chan knows that his condition can't handle soccer, this is his reaction....... I just hope that won't be the same reaction I'll get if he finds out about my condition. I really need to bring Tenma back to Tsurugi as soon as possible! As soon as I'm still alive!

Tenma's P.O.V.

After I closed the door shut in my room, I plopped in my bed while tears we're falling from my eyes. I covered my face with my pillow and let out a scream. Good thing the pillow was there to minimize the volume. I just can't take it anymore! What is this?! One problem after another?! I don't want this! I want my old life back!

I cried louder on my pillow. I just want everything back to normal. That's all. Is that too much to ask? After a few minutes, I heard knocking on my room door. I slowly raised my head from my pillow and wiped my tears. "W-Who is it?" I asked with a stutter. "It's me, Louis. Can I come in, Tenma?" I heard Louis say in front of my door. I didn't answer him and slowly got off my bed and walked to the door. I took a deep breath then slowly opened the door. "W-What is it?" I asked as I saw Louis. Louis didn't answer me and just looked at me. He suddenly held my face, probably seeing the tear marks. "You should stop crying, Tenma" Louis said. I couldn't help it again. I felt another surge of sadness fill me. I let the tears fall. "Hey, don't cry" I heard him say. I felt a pair of arms wrapped around me. "It's alright, let it out" I heard Louis whispered. I nodded then hugged back.

We stood there for a good 2 minutes, in each other's arms. I felt him pat my back gently. "Do you want to eat? You haven't eaten dinner yet" Louis said. I shook my head. "I just want to get some sleep" I answered. He nodded. "But still, you haven't eaten anything yet" Louis informed me. "I know, but....... I'm really tired......." I lied. I just want to be alone for a while and get some sleep. I can eat tomorrow. Louis let me go then sighed. "Alright, I'll just tell Aki-san. Good night, Tenma" Louis said to me. I nodded. "Good night" I answered then he went downstairs. I closed my room's door then went to bed.

'I wonder how it will feel when it's Tsurugi who's hugging me....' I stopped at what I thought when I lay on my bed. What the heck am I thinking? Do I still.......... I mean, yeah, I love him and...... Ughh! Love is hard!
