"The way you're lighting up the room, caught the corner of my eye. We can both sneak out the back door, we don't have to say goodbye."

For a while, me and Alec walked around aimlessly, buying what little things we liked and also spent money on worthless stuff that will probably never be used; Like for example, Alec bought a rubber ducky and soap from bath and body works because he claimed he liked to take baths. I ended up buying a teddy bear and named it Alec, and Alec buying one as well named Avi. Afterwards, we went to a T-Shirt stand and got two T-Shirts that said 'He's adorable' pointing to Alec, and 'She's aDORKable' pointing to me. To say the least, the day went bye with no fights, and it was probably one of the best days I have ever had. Adding to the fact we bought a lot of stuff that could have been spent on something way better. But hell, I had fun.
"Before we go, can we go look at the puppies?" I asked, puckering out my lower lip in plead. Alec pulled out his phone and checked the timing. We still had fifteen minutes before we had to meet Olivia and Jackson. I had seen a store that was called Puppy Love and had a bunch of puppies in big glass boxes with the tops open to where you could pick one out. There were so many of them, all different breeds that were simply to die for.
"Sure thing." He smiled, holding five bags in his right hand, and holding the other out towards me. I placed my small hand in his and we began walking back to the store. When we got there, a happiness exploded within me, and I quickly dragged him inside. All you could hear was the cries of the little things, and it smelled of pure puppy. I almost drooled it was so cute. I examined the boxes carefully, looking at all of the puppies and grinning. However, there was only one that stood out from the rest. A little white puppy with thick, curly locks and brown spots dotting around its little body that looked like they had been thrown on with a paintbrush, lying quietly in the corner. I released his hand and gently leaned in, cupping its small frame in my hands and pulling it up. Its little eyes shot open, a pure blue color. I felt my heart shatter, then sew back together, and shatter again. This things cuteness was for sure going to murder me. The innocent face stared up at me, its jaws parting open and yawning. Alec leaned in, draping his finger over its neck. The puppy snuggled against his touch.
"Alec, I have officially fallen in love. Me and this puppy are moving to Vegas and getting married. Pronto." I stated, little muse filling my voice. If it weren't a puppy, I am pretty sure I would have done it. If only humans could be this adorable. He chuckled. I held the pup against my chest and nuzzled my face against it, heaving a comfortable sigh.
"What would you name her?" He asked, smiling. I thought for a second, eyeing at how perfect she was and calm and adorable. Only one name could match up to a personality like that.
"Clove." I stated with a big smile. Definitely Clove, my little dream dog. If only my parents would allow the puppy in the house. I exasperated a deep sigh, pecking her forehead. "I love you so, so, so much, Clove." I chanted. "But I must go. And when I come back, you will probably be gone because you are too fucking adorable, but just know that I love you more than life, okay?" I cried out.
"Damn, Clove. You just got a whole entire speech that I have been dying to get for weeks, now." Alec chirped, stealing her away from my hands and petting her. I narrowed my eyes, clenching my fists and growling. Mama gon' knock you out, Alec Vermont, if you do not give me back my baby. He noticed the depth in my gaze and handed her back, arms raised in defense.
"Goodbye, my baby." I pouted, kissing her forehead and lying her back inside the glass box with her siblings. I sighed heavily as she squirmed back into the bedding, closing her eyes. "I hate life." I grumbled, locking arms with Alec and starting to walk out.
