"There I was again tonight, forcing laughter, faking smiles. Same old tired, lonely place. Walls of insincerity, shifting eyes and vacancy vanished when I saw your face."

"You two have fun!" Olivia smiled as me and Alec sprung from the backseat of the car and moved as far away from each other as we possibly could. Being so up close and personal in the backseat of a car while two old, well, oldish people had awkward conversation was not the best position to be in. In fact, the worst.

"See you soon, Olivia. Thanks for the money." I smiled sweetly, waving goodbye while Alec stuffed it in his pocket and rolled his eyes at me being polite. I groaned. This day was going to be impossible. Especially since it was his birthday, and he insisted that I go everywhere he wanted to. Otherwise, he would tell on me. Thank god we only have an hour and thirty minutes to get this over with. "Where do you want to go first?" I questioned as we began to enter the malls opening. I looked over at him, raising an eyebrow. But no. He was too busy eyeing up girls, and they stared right back.

"Victoria Secret." He answered smugly, smirking.

"Um, anywhere but there, Alec. I refuse to stand by you while you go around sniffing panties." He snapped his head in my direction, a disgusted look plastered on his face. I just chuckled softly to myself.

"The fact that you just imagined me doing that is scary enough, Fidel." He shivered. A red tint painted across my cheeks, and I quickly looked away as soon as we went inside the huge place. I wasn't one for shopping, so being here was kind of ancient to me, but holy crap. I have never seen something so beautiful in my entire life. There was tons of candy in the smallest store. I swear it looked like the witches house from Hansel and Gretel. My eyes lit up like a deer in headlights. Alec must have took note of that. "Come on, you idiot." He snapped, latching onto my wrist and tugging me forwards, directly into the beautiful candy store.

"Holy..wow..I..I can't..wow." I smiled widely, pressing my face against the candy filled jars and giggling. You know how in movies, when someone is super happy, they have those day dream moments where they are jumping over pink clouds in slow motion? Well, that's me, but instead I am rolling around in candy as if it were a million bucks. I had totally forgotten that Alec was practically holding my hand, smiling down at me.

"What do you want?" He chuckled. I looked up, a goofy smile still lingering on my rosy cheeks.

"Everything." I said hastily, instantly seeing his head as a giant lollipop and his body as sour patch kids. I almost screamed, tearing my way from him because at any point now, I was going to attack him and lick all of the sour sugar right off of him, then caress his face. Oh my. Now that I think about it, it sounds pretty gruesome. Would that be considered rape?

"Would what be considered rape?" Alec muttered under his breath, taking a step back. I flashed a confused look then quickly fumed in a blush. Did I really just say that out loud.

"N-um-Nothing. Can I have your, I mean, a lollipop?" I stuttered. YOUR LOLLIPOP. REALLY, AVALON. I mentally slammed my head against the wall. Alec raised an eyebrow and nodded slowly, taking a round, colorful lollipop from the shelf and handing it to me with a lopsided smile. I took it and shoved it in my mouth. Alec payed for it. "I'm 'a let you lick my lollipop, dun dun dun dun, give you a taste of what I got, dun dun dun dun, go head girl don't you stop, dun dun dun dun, keep going 'til you hit the spot, whew!" I sang as we walked out of the store. Oddly, I got half of that phrase mixed up, and the lyrics were way off point. Alec shook his head at me for it.
