"Holy verses in his kiss, he is your bible."

"I do not want to go in." Alec slurred lowly, staring straight ahead with a pensive expression. I chuckled softly as he cut the engine of the car and huffed an agitated breath.
A small smile crept its way onto my lips as I gently reached over and ran my fingertips lightly over his collar bone, causing him to snap his attention directly onto me. "It's only for a little bit. I just have to say goodbye, it's polite." My fingers quickly pressed against the safety belt insert thing, and I unlatched it from my shoulder.
Alec never wore a safety belt, so he just tossed open the car door and grumbled low curses. "Fuck being polite." He said, waiting for me to come around the hood of the car and meet up with him. This boy was something else. He always spoke his mind no matter what the situation. Perhaps that is what I loved about him.
As I found my place by his side once more, he wrapped a protective hold along my waist and tugged me up against his side, making his own way up the porch stairs and right through the door. How confident he was acting was beyond me. It was as if he owned me and the place. As soon as we stepped through the door, Emery was rushing around the corner with a narrowed gaze and pursed lips. My first reaction was, 'booyy, you are about to get it.'
"Oh," She snapped, propping her hands firmly against her hips. "you decided to show your face here after all that." I made an 'o' with my lips and forced my gaze down, I could tell Alec was bored and slightly afraid. Emery had her moments. And when she did, oh damn.
"Em," Tanner muttered softly as he rounded the corner, holding his arms out towards her shoulders. She shrugged him away and growled beneath her breath. "it's fine, babygirl, just leave him be."
Emery looked over at Tanner and the slight bruising around the bridge of his nose, and she was right back to where she had started. Perhaps worse. Allow me to explain. If Em is pissed and she gets worked up, it is best to let her cool off and try not to fuel the fire. "You think that hurting your best friend because you just have to get your way is alright? Not to mention Tate! There were so many different ways you could have put away all that anger on, but on people is definitely not one of them. Because of you, my boyfriend's nose is bruised to hell and back and Tate is practically incoherent. You need to apologize to everyone for the way you acted, because acting like a complete imbecile is entirely pathetic and it has caused an awful lot of shit that you need to fix." Holy mother of cheese balls.
Alec placed a kind smile on his face. "Are you done?" He spoke softly. Emery had to take a breath she was so shocked. "M'kay, pumpkin, I'll do just that. I'm sorry I pissed you off." His voice was so sweet and highpitched that it made me laugh aloud, my hand shot to my lips and I soon shut up. "Tan, bro, you are my best friend and I did not intend to hurt you. I am sorry." With that, Alec took a step forward and rounded the corner to the living room. Tate was sitting up on the couch with an amused expression. Until he came face to face with Alec. I could tell Alec was tensing just as much, but he did the right thing and I couldn't have fallen in love with him anymore. "Hey, Tate." He spoke, forcing a small smile.
"Hi." Tate replied, glancing over at me with a confused expression. I just smiled. I mean, how could I not? Alec was finally being responsible and it really looked hot on him. Just saying. My boy was growing up, just like he said he was going to. He couldn't have proved it any better.
Alec detached himself from me and took slow steps to Tate, where he sat down on the couch right next to him and looked at him with a small smile. "We both know you deserved to have your ass kicked," they both chuckled. "but I can easily admit that I regret doing that very much. I was angry, frustrated, and all of the above. At least now I do not have to call you pretty boy." I laughed, shaking my head at his small humorous jokes. He had his bad boy way of enlightening the subjects. "Nevertheless, I apologize for what I did. It was immature of me, to say the least. I hope you can forgive me." Tate grinned so wide to the point it had to of hurt.
"Do not worry yourself over it, I'm fine. Thank you and I am sorry for kissing your girl." Alec smiled and stood up, nodding. This is where I inserted myself.
"Well," I stated softly, causing both Tate and Alec to look up at me. "thank you for coming today, Tate, it was really fun. I hope you can come down to visit more often?" He smiled and stood up with a small stagger to his step, earning Alec's shoulder.
Tate stood up fully and straightened his position. "I'd like that." He said, nodding his head ever so slightly. Soon his mother was at his side and my mom as well, helping him wobble his way out the door. I glanced over at Alec and smiled, taking a step directly into his chest.
"Have I matured to your satisfaction, princess?" He spoke softly against my neck. I chuckled, placing a small kiss against the fabric of his t-shirt.
"If you mature anymore, I think it would be illegal." Alec laughed at my comment and brushed his fingertips gently down the small of my back, his lips trailing ever so gently along my neck.
His breath against my skin caused every fiber within my body to tremble, and I was soon confident that he could say or do anything to me and I would not care a single bit. Because I trusted him. For some odd reason, I trusted the bad boy.
And nothing had ever felt any better.
