Chapter Fifty-Three~
Rosaline's POV:
The day that I decided to come home was the day that I came home to what no one would like walking in on.
Sophia on my hip, my eyes wide, and I knew Sophia's were the same.
"Uh, oh." Sophia whispered.
"Oh, no." I said.
Yes, those interjections would be proper for the scene.
I set her to her feet, swallowing hard.
"What the fuck?"
Shattered vases, plates, anything and everything you could think of that was glass or dainty were in pieces, sprawled over the floor of the living room, some pieces even reaching the foyer.
The once smooth sleek glass of the coffee table was wrecked into small pieces of different sizes. The couches contained cotton hanging out of huge gashes all over, like it had just taken a blade.
Expensive paintings and portraits on the wall were torn down, and ruined. The television was flipped over onto the floor.
Shit had definitely gotten escalated.
That would explain the sobbing coming from upstairs...
The clothes covering the stairs...
And the suspicious sock I saw laying on the lawn.
The question that lingered in my head was, "Who stayed, and who had gone?"
It couldn't be determined by the cars outside, because both of them were still there, utterly in the same condition as I'd last seen them. No damage.
Sophia began to cry, frightened.
"Stay here." My voice was shaky, as I sat the crying toddler on the porch.
I could have sworn that there was blood smudges on the foyer and walls, but not from me.
I gasped at the sight of a door off it's hinges; Mum and Dad's room.
The room was vacant of any being but nevertheless had clothes thrown around everywhere, items, glass, ect. There was even a hole in the wall.
"Dad? Mum?" My voice cracked.
"I'm sorry." The voice came from behind me in the hallway as I was stood in the room door way. I swiveled around, both shocked, and frightened.
I know dad owned most of everything, but isn't it usually the guy that leaves, and not the woman?
"You can't stay here anymore, baby. I'm sorry. I can't do this anymore..."
"Daddy..."
"I can't!" He screamed.
My eyes began to water as I could hear Sophia's cry get louder at the sound of her dad's voice being raised, and because I saw what was behind him.
Suitcases.
But not just any suitcases...
Mine.
"I'm sorry, Rose. You have to." He said touching my hand, but I snatched it away.
