Rosaline's POV:

"Explain..."

I recognized this voice as something was being slammed against the table. I looked up from my phone, my drink nearly tipping over.

Bounded by the wooden, sleek table surface and a hand with perfect pink manicures was a magazine.

I couldn't see the people's faces on the cover, or the title for that matter, as it was being blocked by the petite hand. But it was obvious who they were, determining by the clothes they wore and the location that it took place.

I gazed at the two damp figures, pressed against each other in the picture. The female shorter than the male.

I then looked up, meeting a pair of bright piercing green eyes. "Well?"

It's nice to see you too, Addison.

She didn't look mad, nor pleased... Just disappointed, and inappreciably annoyed.

I bit my lip, as I tried forming an answer then settled with a shrug. She quirked an eyebrow, crossing her arms. "I haven't got all day, I've got to go back to work."

"What is there you want to know?"

She looked at me as if I were an idiot, "You're dating him..."

I played stupid, "Dating who?" It was no use... but it probably would make her mad, which I did a lot, because it was funny.

She stared at me dumbfounded and I stared back. My laughter broke the silence.

"Okay, Okay..." I paused, and stopped laughing, trying to make myself look serious. "I'm pregnant..."

Her eyes went from a death stare, to wide eyes. "Rose..." She looked so serious.

"What? I had it with only one person. Unlike you who sleeps with a new guy every other day of the week," I teased.

"Shut up... That's different." She snapped.

I was only joking with her. I'm a virgin... but the direction the conversation had led to made me want to keep acting.

"How so?" I shot back. It was only different to her because I was so vulnerable that if I had sex with one person, I'd probably never let the guy go, even if he wanted nothing to do with me. But she could be heartless and strong if she wanted.

"It just is!"

I knew she wasn't trying to be rude or anything, she just cared about me more than herself, and I don't why. But you're suppose to put yourself first.

I wanted to tell her that I was kidding, but then maybe she would take it the wrong way. And the last thing I wanted, was to lose another friend... Again. In all honesty, whether I was going to get her back or not, I didn't want to take that risk. Just because it happens once, doesn't mean it will happen again.

We sat there in silence. I no longer had anything to say.

"...Is this him? Neil Harin?" she asked after calming herself down.

I bit my lip to keep from laughing. "Niall... Horan."

"...But you didn't even like him."

It's not that I didn't like him! It's just that I never wanted to have a discussion based on him, knowing we had a past together, and no future, but as close friends. I never even told Addison.

And to this day, I still don't know if he and I have a future together. I'm not trying to doubt our relationship... Nonetheless, he could always leave, find someone else, or whom have you.
