During the day they arrive to Terra, again, it was like a new dawn had come over Lotus. Some how her battle with Than changed all she thought about living and dying. During that whole battle she fought without fear of death or losing something precious to her. A half-breed like Lotus didn’t have much to lose during war. Yet another trouble did plague her though. Ryker was the one person she thought about during her battle, instead of Yasha. While fighting all she could think about is how bad it would be if she weren’t able to see him and the thought of how he would be sad if she weren’t alive. This was strange for Lotus. She never thought about anyone else, but her brother. He was the only person who understood her. But at the same time Ryker entered her head somehow and it scared this little flower.
Coming to the top of the mountains where you can see Terra down below in all its glory. Lotus stood there gazing upon this stunning city, the wind blowing her hair. The three armored cars came in front of her as she watched. Tanya Walls and Match were by the gate awaiting the new arrivals. Too excited to see her childhood friend, Lotus ran down giving him a giant hug. At first he didn’t understand this hug, because she normally didn’t show affection, but he knew once his little sister started saying his name why she hugged him. Both his mother and sister were safe from the demons that attacked their home. He was so happy to finally see them again. Their family was a whole again, despite their missing father who was somewhere in Ryoku.
Ryker came out with Aria right behind him. Setsuko wasn’t far behind. He was just as chipper and happy as he could be in this situation. In fact he was a nice refresher from the depressed men roaming around the place. Just to name a few Ryker, William Hares, and Jiro. The young demon helped with the elderly that came from the Neutral Grounds get off the armored cars. For now until they began planning for another attack it would be time to rest and heal from everything that happened.
The next morning Lotus worked on her fan technique as always. Though she only had one fan left because she gave one to her father stupidly. Why on earth did she do such a stupid thing? It may have been because deep down she wanted to feel closer to him and giving him the fan was the only way she could think of. Ryker watched the other warriors train with their guns and swords. To him it was rather entertaining. A demon that trained privately with the most deadly demon in the entire war found it interesting. Yes of course he thought it was funny because they were so unprofessional about the whole training they were doing. The only one in their training was Aria and she was the teacher. However scaring the men was what she did best.
Taking a break Lotus went to her room to relax, to be away from everyone around him. In here everything was peaceful and nothing was insane. Even the file of her father was lying on the side table where she left it. Opening it, there he was in his uniform that all the Generals had to wear at one point. Of course there was a wedding pictures of him and her mother. They looked truly happy together, which killed Lotus inside. If they loved each other, the why did he leave them in the first place? Was there any real good reason behind it all?
Suddenly the door knocked marking Lotus drop the file. Coming to open the door it was Ryker. “Why are you in here?” he asked coming inside and closing the door behind him. “You know Aria is chewing out her men is pretty entertaining?”
“I know,” said Lotus sitting down on the ground. “I just wanted to be left alone.”
Ryker knew something was wrong with Lotus. He has known her long enough to know what’s normal and what’s abnormal. “What happened with your battle with Than?”
Freezing at what she might say about this battle she picked up the file. “It’s nothing,” said Lotus, closing the file. Of course it was something major. The visions she had of Than at night and the thought of never seeing Ryker again. “Still tired from everything. Besides what’s wrong with being alone?”
