Five years after telling her kids her epic love story, Meredith Grey sat in a hospital bed hooked up to tubes and wires keeping her alive. She couldn't breathe on her own, or eat or even go to the bathroom.

Her children hated to see her like that, but they had only wanted to keep her alive just long enough to meet Ellie's new baby, her seventh grandchild.

Lexie and Mark had been the first to get married, and the first to have children. They had two adorable boys. Zachary, who was born one year after they were married, and Ben, whom they adopted from Ethiopia three years after they were married.

Second to be married were Sofia and Bailey. They followed Lexie and Mark, getting married six months later, and having their only son, Seth, just eight months after Zachary was born.

Zola had gotten married as well, to Oliver Hunt. Not a year after Meredith told the children her story, Zola and Oliver were married. He realized he loved her all along, as cliche as that is, and popped the question on the fifth date. Not like it mattered, they'd known each other their entire lives. They had three gorgeous baby boys; Derek, Reilly and Jesse.

Ellie was last to marry. Isaac Karev and Ellie Grey-Shepard were married two years before, on an exotic island in Hawaii. Ellie was pregnant with the grandchild Meredith had to live to meet. Even if she was hooked up to tubes and wires, Ellie believed she could hear her. Meredith Grey just had to live until Ellie had her baby, that was what all four siblings hoped for.

"I'm here Mom" Ellie smiled, as she rocked the small infant in her arms "I'm sorry we've kept you alive so long, I know you would've wanted to go, but you just had to meet her. After seven grandsons, you had to live to meet your first granddaughter. Isaac let me name her, even let me pick out her last name. It's the same as mine, as ours, since I didn't change it when I got married"

Ellie stood up, and placed the baby on the pillow, so her soft, chubby little baby cheek was touching Meredith's pale, dry one. She held the baby in place by her dying grandmother as tears slowly began to drop down her face.

"Meet your very first Granddaughter Mommy" Ellie whispered  "her name is Meredith Grey-Shepard"

A/n- I'm so sad to be ending this book, but sadly I have to. It has come to an end and I am forever great full I could give it such a wonderful ending.

Thank you so so much to the readers who read the book and followed me throughout my journey with my first ever story. It means so much to me that you read this story, that you commented and that you voted. I can only hope you will all follow my future works and love them just as much.
