"You were a royal mess" Ellie comments.

Meredith just smiles and continues her story, excited to tell her little ones what happens next.

Meredith's POV:

On May 16th, 2005, I got a call at exactly 1:23am.

I was sleeping soundly, happy that little one had stopped kicking long enough for me to catch a few hours, when I was awoken by the loud and obnoxious sound that was my cell phone. It was on silent, except for one number. So I knew who it was.

"Hello?" I said, sitting up abruptly. I was suddenly wide awake.

"Meredith? It's Preston Burke. Christina told me to call you on her phone. We're just getting admitted to the hospital now. Christina's water broke" he sounded excited. Ecstatic.

"Is she okay?" I ask, trying to stand up as fast as I could. My big round belly was in my way, so it was kind of slow compared to my not pregnant movements.

"She's in pain, and she's asking for you" Burke told me "could you try and get here? As fast as you can?" He asks

"Of course" I say "she's my person"

"Sorry for waking you" he adds quickly.

"Not a problem" I say "little ones don't wait for anyone"

I hang up the phone, and go to the door. Mark was on call at the hospital, so he was sleeping in an on call room. I threw my swelled feet into some sneakers, and pulled on a knit sweater. Grabbing my car keys and purse, I left for the hospital.

Before I was out the door, little one started to kick.

"You'll be out soon too" I smile, as I rubbed my belly lovingly "don't worry"

I was greeted at the hospital by screaming and yelling. Burke was hiding, scared, in a corner while Christina yelled and screamed in pain. Honestly, I felt bad for the nurses.

"I want drugs and I want them now!" She screamed. The nurses flinched. I flinched. Burke flinched. Hell, I bet even the baby flinched.

"Dr.Yang, we can't give you any pain killers just yet. You need to hold on" one of the nurses said.

"Ugh get out of my face!! Just leave!!" She screamed as she gripped the sides of the bed "ouuuchchhchhhhh BURKE IM GOING TO KILL YOU AND YOUR STUPID MAN PENIS FOR PUTTING ME THROUGH THISSSSSS"

I chose that moment to walk in, to try and relieve Burke.

"Hey Christina" I say "you seem to be very much in labor" I walked to her side, and held her hand. She screamed her way through another contraction (nearly breaking my hand in the process) before answering.

"If I ever decide to have another kid, shoot me" Christina panted. She was all sweaty and pale, visibly uncomfortable and in a great amount of pain.

"I'm going to get you some water" Burke quickly said, as he left the room.

"He better run" Christina muttered "it's his fault I'm doing this anyway"

I chuckled "you're Christina Yang, a little labor isn't going to faze you" I tried to reassure her. With, obviously, no luck.

"This hurts like hell Meredith. In ten weeks or more, you'll be able to relate. I feel like I'm being cut open over and over and then having my insides stuffed back in with a hammer. Schedule a C section. Then you'll get the good drugs" she says, squeezing my hand "Jesus not another one" she screamed yet again as the contraction mercilessly ripped through her.

I almost felt scared. Scratch that, I felt terrified. Labor looked like it was hell, and with my luck this little baby would give me an even harder time.

"You try and make your way into the world like Godzilla, and I'll personally kick your little baby ass" I whisper to my tummy, as Christina screams yet again and crushes my hand even more.

~

On May 16th, 2:49 am, at thirty six weeks, four days, Preston Xavier Burke Jr. Was born.

He was five pounds, eight ounces and twenty inches long. He had a full head of chocolate brown hair, milky skin and dark eyes.

He was a perfect little mix of Christina and Burke, a gorgeous baby overall.

Christina held him, smiling ear to ear. It was like she'd fallen in love with the most gorgeous thing she'd ever laid eyes on. And, I suppose she did. Because her little son was her pride and joy, even at one hour old.

Burke was immediately taken with the little baby, smiling and kissing his little head. He absolutely loved he baby, more than anyone could ever love another human, and it was so amazing to watch.

I left the hospital when Christina fell asleep, deciding to stop and see Mark before I left, I made a detour to one of the on call rooms.

I didn't knock, I just walked in. And I screamed at the sight I saw.

My sister and Mark were kissing. All clothes were on, but they were kissing.

And I had never felt more betrayed in my life.

A/n- told Ya. Drama drama drama.

Christina had her Wittle beebs and Mark kissed his finances sister. Bad Mark.
