At the hospital, Nathan asked Daisy if he could talk to her for a minute before they went inside. Ashlyn went on inside to wait for them and give them privacy.

"Mrs.Gage," Nathan started.

"Oh just call me Daisy," Daisy interrupted.

"Okay. Daisy, I was wondering about Ashlyn."

"What do you mean?" Daisy asked confused.

"A relationship wise wondering," Nathan hinted nervously. Daisy smiled to show she wasn't mad.

"Nathan, I think your perfect for her. You're everything that I wanted for her. You're polite, protective, caring, considerate, and so much more. You put others before you. That's what I like about you," Daisy said with a smile. Nathan smiled back then walked inside with her. "I'll talk to Johnny tonight. If you come by tomorrow, I'll let you know what he said."

"Thank you, Mrs- I mean Daisy," Nathan said. Daisy laughed. Inside, Ashlyn was at the nurse's desk talking to Dixie.

"Well, if it isn't one of my favorite paramedics," Dixie said once she saw Daisy, "How are you?"

"I'm doing well. I just came to see my niece," Daisy said proudly.

"I see you figured all of that out. What's her name, and I'll find out what room she's in?" Dixie asked.

"Anneliese Taylor."

"She's in room 308. I'll see you all later. I've got to get back to work," Dixie said, leaving to go to a treatment room.

"Okay. Thanks, Dix," Daisy said before turning to head to the elevator. She knew this place like the back of her hand. Nathan and Ashlyn had to jog just to keep up with her. Once at the correct room, Daisy knocked on the door then went inside to find her sister sitting in a hospital chair and Lea in the bed. Nathan waited outside to give them time.

"Mom, who are they?" Lea asked from the bed. Ashlyn cowered behind Daisy like she used to do when she was a child.

"Lea, this is your Aunt Daisy and her daughter, Ashlyn. I called them yesterday and told them about everything," Lea's mother said, standing up. She walked over to Daisy and hugged her.

"It's great to see you, Natalia," Daisy said as she hugged her sister.

"It's great to see you too." Ashlyn and Lea looked at each other confused on what was going on.

"Girls, it's a long story, but you two are cousins. So socialize some," Daisy said with a laugh. Ashlyn smiled at her mother then walked over to the hospital bed and talked to Lea.

"You look so familiar. I just can't put my finger on it," Ashlyn said. Lea laughed.

"Maybe you saw me once upon a dream," she said causing both of the girls to laugh.

"Maybe. Do you know what station was called out to the wreck?" Ashlyn asked.

"My friend said that it was Station 51."

"That's where I saw you at! I was at the call!" Ashlyn exclaimed.

"Really? That's cool!" Lea said. Everyone in the room talked until Nathan came in and ruined the party.

"I hate to ruin everything, but Dixie has someone on the phone for Ashlyn," he said shyly. Lea dropped her jaw when she saw Nathan.

"Okay. I'll be right out," Ashlyn said.

"Who was that?" Lea asked once Nathan was gone.

"My partner from work. He helped me fix you up at the wreck," Ashlyn said, "I better go see who it is." Ashlyn left the room with Nathan following her in the hall.

"Do you need me to stand with you? Dixie doesn't recognize the voice, and I remember the last phone call you got that was anonymous," Nathan said once they were in the elevator.

"Yeah. I've got a bad feeling in my gut about it," Ashlyn said, looking up at the ceiling. Once off the elevator, Ashlyn and Nathan rushed to Dr. Brackett's office. Dixie handed the phone to Ashlyn then walked out of the room. "This is Ashlyn speaking."

"Your voice gets sweeter every time I hear it," the voice boomed.

"Who is this?" Ashlyn squeaked from tears forming.

"You don't know? I guess your memory is out of whack after the fall you had when I shot you." Ashlyn gasped. Nathan ran to her side to make sure everything was alright.

"Tell me your name," Ashlyn demanded with a stern voice.

"Fine. If you must know, you can find out when we meet in the alley behind the old general store at 7 tonight," the voice said with a devious tone. Ashlyn looked toward Nathan for help.

"Tell him you'll be there. I won't let him hurt you," he whispered. Ashlyn nodded then replied back to the mysterious man.

"Good! You come alone or you won't be able to talk to anyone with that sweet voice of yours anymore," the man threatened. Ashlyn let out a small whimper.

"Deal," she said then slammed the phone down. Tears escaped as she sat down in the chair behind her. Nathan kneeled down to her.

"Ashlyn, this creep won't be able to touch you. I promise you that," he said as she cried into his shoulder.

"Why? Out of all the women there is in this city, why does this guy want to harass me?" she sobbed. She dried her tears with her hands then stood up. "We better get back upstairs before mom starts to worry."

"Yeah." Ashlyn and Nathan left the office, thanked Dixie, then headed back up to Lea's room. In the room, Natalia, Daisy, and Lea were all in such a deep conversation that they didn't notice Ashlyn and Nathan enter.

"Oh Ashlyn, we were talking about having a party at the house tomorrow once Lea is released since both your birthdays are close together. You can invite everyone from the station to come along," Daisy whispered low enough to where only Ashlyn an Nathan could hear. She winked at Nathan once she said everyone from the station.

"Sounds great," Ashlyn said with a fake smile. She didn't want anyone to worry about what was going on.

"Well, we'll start around 3 or 4," Daisy said with a smile. Ashlyn nodded. She started to feel tears to form because thoughts were racing through her head.

"I'm going to wait for you all outside. It was nice meeting you Lea and Aunt Natalia," Ashlyn said before leaving.

'Why am I crying so much? This is a bunch of drama. I know Nathan will protect me from this guy. He will, won't he?' Ashlyn thought as she walked to the car.
