I stared at him.
I was speechless.
It was as if someone had chopped off my tongue.
He thinks I'm jealous?
Hah. He has another thing coming if he thinks so.
"You know what Enzo? Has anyone ever told you have the biggest ego and you're the most arrogant bastard in this universe?" My hands suddenly balled into fists.
"Many times." He walked away from me and sat on the edge of his bed.
"You really need to stop that." I snarled.
He chuckles to himself and looks at his hands.
"Now why should I do that?" He asks quietly.
Because you're a flirt and you make me feel things I've never felt before you asshole!
"B-because it hurts people." My voice trembled.
"Like who? Am I hurting you?" He asked staring sincerely into my soul.
I dismissed it immediately.
"People around you Enzo. Including your family..." I looked down and pushed my hands into my short's pocket.
He let out a quiet sigh, then looked up as our eyes met.
I didn't dare look away, we stood there gazing into each others eyes until I couldn't handle it anymore and focused somewhere else.
Why is he so difficult to understand?
Deep down I knew Enzo loved his family but why was he so distant from them?
"Look Enzo, even though I'm probably the last person you would ever consider talking to but I just want you to know that I'm only a call away." With saying that I smiled slightly and turned around and left Enzo's room.
I made my way down the steps quickly.
I felt proud that I could handle matters like that in a mature way.I came to a halt when I had heard Mrs Wolf call for me.
I popped my head through the kitchen door and smiled.
"Hey sweetie, would you like some chocolate chip cup cakes?"
"Oh, no thank you Mrs Wolf. You've seen how I used to be." I chuckled as she did.
I had a little conversation with her about work and the boys.
She would tell me stories about how the boys grew up, and how they were stuck together like glue. She told me their embarrassing naked moments and bad attitude stories.
I was really curious and wanted to ask about how they adopted Enzo but it wasn't my place to ask them.
After my tea I looked at the time and said my goodbyes.
I walked into my house and found Aunt Rosey past out on the couch with a photo of me, her and Sam.
I placed a blanket over her body and kissed her forehead. I grabbed my phone and dialed the number I've been meaning to call for ages now.
"Lexi?" I heard a tired groan.
"Hey Sammy boy..." I closed my bedroom door and turned my bedside lamp on.
"Hey...before anything can I just ask why you're calling me at this time of night?" He murmured, as if he was woken from his sleep.
"I-I just miss you Sam..." I finally found the courage to say out loud.
