You've been very good friends with Michael for a long time. You met back in 1981 and have been friends since then. You're calling Michael now to congratulate him on his nominations for the Thriller album. And you honestly believed that Thriller will be one of the greatest albums that was ever created by an artist because it was that good.
"Hello, is this Michael?" You ask just to make sure it wasn't someone else.
"No, this is Kenny Rogers. You must have the wrong number." Says the person on the other line.
"Oh I am so sorry about that see I thought this was my friend" you suddenly hear giggling that sounds like Michael. Michael is too much.
"Wait a second, Is this~ THIS IS MICHAEL!"
Michael then starts screaming laughing over the phone sounding like a hyena.
"Oh my gosh Y/N" Michael says in between laughs. "You actually thought I was Kenny Rodgers!" Michael says still laughing.
He really thinks this funny
"Michael you play too damn much!" You say while laughing.
"Ooo weee. I'm weak!" Michael says still laughing.
"It wasn't that funny Michael." You say with a straight face.
"Ok, ok I'm sorry"
"Now finally I can speak, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ALBUM AND THE NOMINATIONS GOOFBALL!" You yell into the phone
Michael laughs. "Thank you Y/N. You're more excited than I am"
"You should be excited!"
"I was gonna call you first but you beat me to it. But I wanted to ask you something" Michael says nervously.
"Yes Michael?" You say wondering what he's talking about.
"I don't have a date to the Grammys. So I was wondering if you could give me advice so I can ask someone?" Michael says nervously.
You feel a little crushed. You were hoping Michael was gonna ask you, cause you secretly had a crush on him.
" Y/N, you still there?" Michael asks.
"Huh, oh yeah I'm still here. What advice do you need?"
"Just how to ask the person" Michael say in a duh tone.
" I don't know say um, would you like like to be my date for the Grammys?"
"Well I could've thought of that Y/N" Michael says laughing.
You still feel bad about Michael not asking you so you were going to hang up the phone soon.
"Michael, I'm gonna go now" you say to Michael in a defeated tone.
"Ok goodbye Y/N." Michael says while smirking.
"Goodbye Michael"
Two seconds after you hang up the phone, someone else calls.
"Hello?"
"Y/N, will you go to the Grammys with me?" Michael asks.
"Duh, of course Michael" you say. And your on cloud nine that Michael just asked you.
