~Considering it's been a while, this is a decently long chapter. You'll want a reason, i know, but all i'm gonna say is that the Charlotte in the story, isn't the only person having problems with guys and her friends at the moment...
So, hopefully the longer chapter makes up for it.
by the way, kind of a SCENE in here. Don't say i didn't warn you. It's was kinda inevitable, the way it was going and idefinately needed it for the story line.
p.s. I love the fact that i'm surrently sitting here watching All Time Low's Pop-punk pile up countdown, wearing an all time low shirt like my character is in this chapter. I have rather psychopathic tendencies ;) Enjoyyyyy <3
Three mornings after the break-up, I found myself skipping school again.
Apparently, thanks to a message from a certain chestnut eyed boy, Matt had been at his with Cassidy and Leah the day after, and seeing him walking round school with Cassidy’s head whore hadn’t been easy.
Alex definitely wasn’t making it easy either. His texts got more cryptic by the day.
Babe, I wouldn’t worry, he shouldn’t even need a slut with you around.
There are plenty guys out there who’d be lucky for a shot with you.
As much as they made me feel good, and filled me with the same warm tickling sensation in my tummy, they confused the hell out of me.
I settled on the couch with a warm coffee, in my pajama pants and an All Time Low shirt, watching normal daytime TV. Life is so much better when you can lounge around and not put on make-up and just look like crap.
But as usual, I never get to relax.
The door opened and slammed shut and Scott stormed into the front room, throwing himself onto the couch, his head landing in my lap. He looked up at me inquisitively.
“Your meant to be in school.” He muttered.
“Yeah. Your meant to be at work.” I replied.
“You got me. I got fired.” He sighed.
I couldn’t help but laugh. “What for?” Scott had literally been in his new job all of three days.
“Apparently you can’t accept a beer off a girl while working.” He’d done some maintenance job at some club someplace.
“And why aren’t you at Luce’s?” I asked.
“She’s pissy. Nath’s ill and she doesn’t want me around him while he’s stressy.” He shrugged. “So, looks like I’m back for a while.”
I laughed, “Yeah, yeah, yeah. You say that now. She’ll call you tomorrow and take you back and you know it.”
“She’s that predictable, huh?” He chuckled, his eyes slipping closed as my cell buzzed under his back. “You got plans?” He asked, flipping the BlackBerry at me.
You can’t mope forever babygirl. Not coming to school is letting him know he’s getting to you. Not to mention it makes you look sad. Picking you up in an hour. You better be ready. A x
“Apparently so.” I whispered, scrolling through Alex’s message, re-reading it.
An hour. Was he planning on taking me into school? Just hanging out? How the hell was he explaining this to Kayla? Would she be here with him or would he be alone?
We obviously hadn’t kissed since everything happened, and I was suddenly anxious about his motives. What was in this for him?
I was sure that I liked him, but even with his texts and calls and sweet messages, I didn’t know where the hell I stood.
