ONE YEAR LATER...
"Okay, so we've got the catering down, now we just need to finish this guest list."
Kyungsoo poked at his puffed-out cheeks, shifting the air inside of them from one side to the other with the tip of his index fingers as Taemin babbled on about something he had lost interest in hours earlier. It wasn't like he wanted to help him and Minho and plan their wedding ceremony, anyway, he was practically forced to by Taemin.
"Soo," Taemin said, shoving the boy next to him lightly in order to gain his attention.
"Huh?" he replied, eyes wide.
"Are you even listening to me right now?" Taemin complained, a displeased look covering his face. Kyungsoo just stared at him blankly for a moment.
"Okay, Taemin hyung." Kyungsoo smiled and nodded. "Whatever you say." Taemin sighed heavily in annoyance and rolled his eyes before slapping his hands against his face.
He loved Kyungsoo dearly, but he couldn't help but find his lack of attention span to be quite inconvenient at times like this when work needed to be done. Nevertheless, though, he carried on with his vigorous planning in the hope that he would get everything done by his spring deadline.
Minutes later, Jongin arrived back to the apartment with Minho from tuxedo shopping, announcing as he came in and slid his shoes off, "We're back."
"Jongin!" Kyungsoo exclaimed in absolute excitement, springing up from his seat and scattering into the arms of his boyfriend.
"Hi, baby," Jongin replied with a light laugh, hugging him back warmly and tightly and pressing his lips to the top of his head.
In the past year, Jongin and Kyungsoo had grown closer than either of them could have ever imagined. They practically spent every moment of their day together, and even during the time they did spend apart, they were constantly thinking of one another. But if there was one thing that Jongin loved most about their relationship, it was knowing that whenever he would come home from any type of day, fantastic or horrible, and be greeted by a big hug from his boyfriend no matter what.
"I missed you, Jongin," Kyungsoo said, smiling up at the elder as he stepped back from the hug.
"But I was only gone for an hour," Jongin said, pushing back some hair that had fallen in front of Kyungsoo's eyes.
"Yes, I know, but I still missed you," Kyungsoo said. "I always miss you whenever you are not here." Jongin just smiled even more and cupped Kyungsoo's face in between his hands in order to lean down and kiss his lips. "Plus, Taemin hyung was driving me crazy. But I just ignored him and played along like you taught me," he added in a whispering voice, making him chuckle out loud as he looked over at Taemin.
"How's the planning coming along, babe?" Minho asked, making his way over to Taemin, who was sitting on the couch.
"Swell, just swell," Taemin answered, obvious sarcasm dripping from his voice as he looked up at Minho. "I've gotten one of a million things done and I only have a few more months left until my deadline. Did I mention I haven't started looking at venues yet? God, Minho, why did you have to propose to me?" Minho looked back at Jongin, who just shrugged and chortled.
"Okay, babe," Minho said, lowering himself down until his knees were bent, "I didn't propose to you. You literally came home one day and said by me this ring, so I did."
Taemin scoffed and scowled. "Whatever," he said, holding up a hand in front of his fiancé's face. "I don't have time for more of your excuses, okay? I need to focus all of my attention on making my wedding perfect, so unless you want to help, I suggest you get out of my bubble." Sighing and throwing his hands in the air in defeat, Minho stood up straight and walked back over to Jongin.
