Donna locked the doors to the studio and pulled out her phone, it was 8:30 already, she sighed while dialling a number.
"Mum I'm ok stop worrying" came the voice from the other end of the phone
"Ok ok, im allowed to worry about my child " she replied trying to calm her daughter.
"Well I've eaten and I've already done my homework, and before you ask? Yes I turned the oven off and the front door is locked, there's no serial killer coming after me" her daughter laughed
"You never know, I just want to keep you safe" Donna said
"I know but I'm 17 you have to let me grow up sometime" came the voice
"Yea when your 30" laughed Donna
"I'm on my way home now and I have something amazing to tell you, you won't believe it"
"Ohhh sounds good I'll be waiting" squealed her daughter.
They said their goodbyes and soon Donna was in her car on the motorway.
..............
Donna had changed into her comfy sweatpants and vest and had piled her long hair into a bun at the top of her head, it was good to dress up but it was also so good to get into comfy clothes she thought while making her way downstairs.
Taylor, her daughter was waiting in the kitchen, as usual she was on her iPhone and didn't bother to look up as her mother passed her at the dining table.
Donna rubbed her daughters hair on passing, ensuring to mess it up. She knew Taylor hated it.
"Mum" screeched her daughter looking up at her
Donna laughed getting a bottle of rose from the fridge.
She didn't drink often but tonight she felt happy and in a really good mood. She poured herself a glass and tossed a juice carton to her daughter.
"A glass of that wine would have been better" Taylor suggested
Donna looked at her child and shook her head "not for another 2 months" she said
"What's 2 months mum, you need to lighten up" argued Taylor
"Na ah" shaking her head even more "you know how I feel about it"
"Your too protective" sighed Taylor
Donna made her way into the living room and plonked herself on the couch grabbing the remote.
Flicking through the music channels she finally found something she liked.
Their routine was always the same, they would come home put on comfy clothes and listen to music. They never really watched tv, they would just sit and talk for hours.
................
Donna was only 16 when she had discovered she was pregnant, she didn't love the baby's father and realised he was too young to deal with it all so she had broken it off that same day.
Her daughter was born 2 weeks after her 17th birthday, it made her grow up immediately and it had been just the 2 of them ever since.
They were very close and sometimes it wasn't like a mother and daughter as they were the best of friends.
She had been on a few dates since her daughter was born but was always very cautious of letting a man into her life, she had dreams and she wanted to fulfill them and give her daughter the very best she could.
The only guy who had been close to her was her ex, Ben, they were together for 6 years but he couldn't commit and repeatedly broke her heart.
She finally called it off just over a year ago. It had hurt and sometimes still did but her daughter had helped her to move on.
.................
Taylor threw herself on the couch beside her mother "So what's this amazing news you have to tell me"
Donna sipped her wine before putting the glass down and turning to her daughter "your never going to guess who I met today" she said excitedly "you will never get it"
"Oh mum please don't say it's Ben, I really can't deal with his drama"
Donna laughed "no don't be silly, it's someone way more interesting and sexy than Ben"
"Well that would be anyone" teased Taylor
Donna playfully slapped her daughters arm "oh your not going to get it and I'm going to burst if I don't tell you"
"Aw I wanted to guess" joked Taylor
"Are you ready for it?" Asked Donna
Taylor shook her head "hit me"
"Cristiano Ronaldo" she screamed
"Shut up no you didn't" laughed Taylor "where in Glasgow could you possibly meet him, you must think I'm stupid"
"Honestly Taylor, it was him I'm not lying"
She looked at her mother's reaction and realised she was telling the truth.
"Tell me everything, I want to know every little detail, even how he smelled" she asked
The pair laughed and Donna proceeded to tell her how he was doing a photo shoot and how he seemed rude but then had complimented her.
"That's my claim to fame" added Donna "he's even more gorgeous in person if that's possible. I just can't believe I met him"
"Are you going to start watching football now just so you can point him out and say you met him" laughed Taylor
Donna laughed, but in her mind she was realising that watching football was the only way she would ever see him again. She reached for her wine and took a huge gulp.
She remembered his beautiful brown eyes and how he had smelled, she had recognised his scent as soon as he was next to her.
It was Jean Paul Gaultier, she would know it anywhere, it was her favourite aftershave.
It was a scent that would make you follow a man home, It was sexy and delicious.
Donna thought back to that afternoon, how he had made her feel so nervous when he looked at her, that wink before he left, she could feel her heart start to race.
She would have to get him out of her mind, he was a huge star and she wasn't going to see him again.
"I know that look" quipped her daughter "you liked him"
"You would have to be blind not to" she replied
"I think it's more than that" Taylor said
"Well he's basically a celebrity and I'm me, so it wouldn't matter, anyway its not like I'm ever going to see him again"
Taylor looked at her mum amusingly "even though your a mum you're allowed to have a celebrity crush you know, it's very healthy" she laughed
"And you never know, you might meet him again"
Donna shrugged and got up, it had been a long day and she was tired. "Well I'm going to bed honey, don't stay up too late, you have college tomorrow"
She kissed her daughters head and went upstairs.
Once in bed her thoughts returned to her afternoon, she couldn't stop thinking about Cristiano's eyes when he had winked at her.
The way he said Her name did something to her, his accent made it sound so sexy.
She desperately tried to block her thoughts, after all it wasn't like he would be thinking about her, he had probably forgotten about her already.
