It had been 4 weeks since Donna had left Cristiano's house. She had managed to find a small apartment in the centre of Madrid with the help of Jorge who had promised not to tell The footballer where she was.
Jorge had also managed to find the brunette a job within his company. He didn't like to lie or keep secrets from Cris but he assumed they would get back together eventually although Donna had told him repeatedly that it was the end.
Taylor was back from LA and was helping her mother get over the break up. Donna had pretending she was fine but the blonde heard her cry in bed everynight. She hated to see her mother hurting so much but knew there was nothing she could do to stop it.
The brunette had her belongings picked up from Cristiano's house and had returned the car to him .
unpacking the boxes she discovered the small gift box that she had returned the footballers watch back to him in.
Opening the gift box revealed the heart pendant necklace Cristiano had given her at Christmas along with a note which read.
This necklace was meant for you. Please keep it, it belongs on someone beautiful.
Cris
XxxDonna was happy at the words on the note but saddened at the situation, tears began to form in her eyes as she thought about Cristiano. She still loved the footballer dearly but she knew it could never work, they wanted different things.
The press had guessed the couple had split but neither one had confirmed it, meaning there was a frenzy of paps every time the brunette left the house.
Donna put the necklace on rubbing the heart pendant as she let it fall onto her chest. Laying back on the bed of her new bedroom she stared at the ceiling, thinking about how different her life had become.
In only a few short months she had moved her life to Madrid, fallen in love, saved her daughter and had her heart broken.
It all seemed like a bad dream that she would never wake from. The brunette had found love, a love she never thought possible, a connection with someone that was so strong she trusted him with her life. The pain in her heart hadn't lessened since the day she left, it had gotten worse. There was an emptiness inside her that nothing or no one could fill, only Cristiano.
She missed his touch, the sound of his voice, the way he would say certain words in his portugese accent that she would make fun of. The way he would look at her like she was the only person that existed. It was too much to take as the tears fell down her face.
Donna hoped that Cristiano was happy but she couldn't bare the thought of him with someone else.
...........................
Cristiano threw his training bag into the closet with an almighty force Before collapsing onto the bed.
"Woah calm down" said Jorge as he watched the footballer "You have to get it together"
"I can't get it together I can't calm down" replied Cristiano angrily "Don't you see, my life is nothing without her, she should be here now, we were in love, I am in love. We were making a life together and now she's gone" he shouted waving his arms in the air
Jorge took a seat on the bed next to Cristiano, he had never seen him like this over a woman.
The footballer hadn't shaved in days, his hair wasn't in its usual styled slick but rather left curly hanging down his face.
Zidane had contacted Jorge to talk about his performance in training, Cristiano was moody often taking it out on the other players.
"I know you miss her but you have to move on, think about your career" added Jorge
