"So what are you going to do?" asked Taylor as she looked at the footballer, his knuckles white from gripping the steering wheel so tight.  "What time is her flight?" asked Cristiano ignoring the young girls question.

"2:30" she answered "you didn't answer my question" she added, Cristiano looked at the clock on the dashboard "That gives me 40 minutes" he replied as if talking to himself.

Taylor watched as the footballer bit his lip as if in deep thought, his hands gripping and turning on the steering wheel.  "CRISTIANO" Taylor shouted, jolting him from his thoughts, Ronaldo turned to look at the blonde "you haven't answered my question" she repeated.

Cristiano looked at the girl, confused he furrowed his brows. "What are you going to do?...How are you going to stop her leaving?" she asked. "I'm not sure yet" he replied "But I'm going to need some help" he added grabbing his phone from his pocket.

"Jorge, meet me at the airport, I need you there in the next 20 minutes, I'll text you the details" the footballer said into the phone before abruptly hanging up. Passing the phone to Taylor he said "Type exactly what I say and send it to Jorge", Taylor nodded, intrigued as to what was about to happen. The girl knew the footballer loved her mum and that the feeling was mutual but she also knew it would take something big to convince her mother to stay in Madrid.

The car sped up as the pair whisked through the city traffic, Cristiano constantly checking the clock aware of how little time he had to stop the love of his life walking out of his life for good.

..................................................................

"Flight 432 to Glasgow now boarding"

Donna looked up from her phone, hearing the announcement she grabbed her bag flinging it over her shoulder and got up from her seat.

The brunette found a small coffee shop inside the airport and had decided to wait in there, it had looked quiet and empty and that's just what she needed at the moment. Somewhere she could be alone, somewhere that didn't remind her of the footballer. Telling herself that as soon as she was back in Glasgow she would be able to move on with her life, and hoping it was true. She just needed some distance,  needed to be home, away from the city that had seen her fall in love but had also watched her heartbreak.

The announcement repeated causing Donna to pick up the pace as she made her way through the crowds, still clutching her phone the brunette sent a quick text to her daughter, trying not to bump into anyone as she looked at the screen.

About to board. call when I land.
Love you
x

Pressing send, she quickly switched her phone off and slipped it into her bag as she made her way to the terminal.

.............................................

The car pulled up to the airport, no sooner had Cristiano turned the engine off but he was out of the car with the blonde following soon after him.

"You can't leave your car there" came a voice

The pair turned  to see a security guard behind them pointing to the footballers car. "Excuse me" asked Cristiano

"You can't park your car here, this is for drop offs and pick ups only" replied the guard sternly

Cristiano walked back towards the man "I won't be long, a few minutes I promise, I just have to stop the girl of my dreams from leaving" he said smiling

"I don't care what you have to do I just know you're not leaving your car here" replied the man

Cristiano looked at his watch, it was already 2:20. Running a hand through his hair he thought for a moment. there was no way he had time to find a suitable parking space and still catch up to Donna. He had to make a decision and fast.

"I just got a text from mum, she's boarding" said Taylor approaching Ronaldo and grabbing his arm "We have to go now" she added as she began to yank him away

"If you leave this car here I will have it impounded" informed the guard

Cristiano looked at the man in front of him, pulling out his keys he tossed them at the guard "I'll save you the bother, move it yourself" he said as the guard caught the keys. "You can't do that" shouted the man but it was too late, Cristiano was already running in the opposite direction.  "No, what I can't do is miss the woman I love" he shouted back.

The pair made their way inside the airport only stopping to look at the boards, "She's this way" said Cris pointing to the right. "Where the hell is Jorge?" he asked.

"I'm here" said Jorge as the pair turned around to find the agent standing behind them waving an ipod in front of them.

"We have seven minutes to find mum" said Taylor looking at her phone

Cristiano moved to stand in front of the girl and his agent "Taylor call your mum, you have to stop her" Taylor nodded and began making the call

"Jorge you go do your stuff, I need it to be perfect, she has to know I'm serious" he said looking to his agent. "I hope you know what you're doing, this could all go so wrong" replied Jorge

"Stop worrying Jorge, it won't go wrong, I just have to find her now" he said smiling, although inside he was secretly worried about how his plan would go. Jorge smiled at his client he knew how much the girl meant to the footballer. Reaching over, the agent slipped something into Cristiano's pocket before hugging him. "Do what you need to do son, you know I'll always support you" he said. "Thanks Jorge" said Cristiano, hugging him back.

"Her phone's switched off" interrupted Taylor. Cris ran a hand through his hair and looked at his watch, time was ticking on and Donna was closer to leaving his life. Turning on his heels the footballer began to run "I need to stop her, it's now or never" he shouted making his way through the crowds.

People had already begun to notice the famous footballer, some even began to follow him, pulling out their phones to get a picture of the star but it didn't phase Cristiano, he had only one thing on his mind and that was to stop Donna from leaving, he had to tell her how he felt.

He couldn't imagine a life without the brunette, he didn't want to imagine it. His heart raced as he ran through the crowds, adrenaline was pumping but also a slight fear washed over him, what if she didn't want him anymore he worried.

There was only one way to find out he told himself as he began to run faster.
