Zipping her suitcase shut Donna looked around the room ensuring she hadn't forgotten anything important. She couldn't take everything in the one trip, she would have to send for the rest later.
The brunette reached into her bag for her phone, there was still no reply from Taylor. It had been a week since she had last heard from her daughter and by now she was beside herself with worry.
Donna had decided she would fly to LA first before returning to Glasgow. She was determined to find her child no matter what it took, she just hoped she was ok.
Her flight was booked for 7pm allowing her a few hours to pack and say goodbye to Dolores and Junior, the PA was going to miss them dearly but she knew she couldn't stay.
Things had gotten so bad between her and Cristiano that she hadn't bothered to go back to the office since their argument in the car 3 days ago. Meaning she hadn't seen Cristiano either. The brunette had done her best to stay out of his way.
There was a knock on the door as Dolores peeked around "are you in here?" She shouted
Donna made her way into the living room to greet the woman "I'm here" she replied as Dolores pulled her into a hug.
"I can't believe your leaving" she said as Junior ran in behind his grandmother "I'm going to miss you" she added
The brunette pulled back taking a seat on the sofa as Dolores and Junior joined her "I'll miss you too" she replied trying not to cry. Donna had begun to feel close to the woman and Madrid felt like her home now. She was sad to be leaving them behind.
"Do you have to go......can't you and Cristiano work something out?" Asked Dolores
Knowing it was too late for that Donna replied "there's nothing to work out, it's best for everyone if I go home" as she put her head down trying desperately to stop the tears
Dolores watched the brunette, she hated seeing her so upset knowing there was nothing she could do "What's gotten you so upset......Please, you can tell me" asked the woman
"I've lost everything since coming here" cried Donna letting the tears roll
The portugese woman moved to comfort the her "What do you mean......what have you lost?" She asked worried about the brunette
"before I came here I was happy, I had my daughter and we were close.......now I don't even know if she's safe, I'm flying to LA tonight to find her.......its all just a big mess" sobbed Donna
Dolores hugged the brunette tightly "Im sure Taylor's fine she's a smart girl" she said trying to put Donna's mind at ease
Just then Junior tapped on Donna's knee, looking up she wiped her tears as she smiled at the young boy "I don't want you to go, I really like you and Taylor, please stay?" He asked
Lifting Junior on to her lap she cuddled him tightly as the tears began to flow again "I really like you too but I can't stay, im sorry".
The PA had grown close to the little boy during her time in Madrid, she would miss him dearly and the pictures he often drew for her that were now pinned around the guest house.
The trio sat huddled together on the sofa as Donna cried, she didn't know if she would ever see them again and it upset her more than she had expected.
A horn beeped from the driveway "that'll be my car to take me to the airport" said the assistant getting up from the sofa to collect her cases. Dolores and Junior helped as they made their way outside.
Dolores grabbed Donna for one final hug as the driver loaded the cases into the trunk of the car "if you ever need anything you call me.....don't be a stranger" she stated pulling back to look at her.
