Chapter 40

Hayes' POV

I woke up and saw Sydney sleeping in my arms and I smiled to myself.

I turned on the tv and watched until I felt her moving.

I looked down and saw her start to open her eyes and saw me awake and hugged me with teary eyes.

I hugged her back tightly.

We stayed and talked about random things trying to keep our minds off of the event that takes place today.

The doctor finally came in.

"Alright. Mam please leave and head to the waiting room so we can start the tests for Hayes." He said to Sydney who slowly nodded and hugged me again then left the room silently.

I took a deep breath as the doctor got everything ready for my tests.

"I'm going to stay strong for you Syd." I whispered as I watched her walk out of sight.

"Ready?" Th Doctor asked

I nodded "as ready as I'll ever be"

Sydney's POV

The doctor asked me to leave and I hugged Hayes then left the room unable to speak as I was holding back tears.

I got into the waiting room and all the boys were awake and talking or on their phones.

I walked in then broke down.

My hands were shaking, my heart was pounding and I was balling my eyes out.

Nash came running towards me and engulfed me into a hug, holding me tightly.

"He's going to be okay baby girl. He's strong." He said softly to me

I didn't say anything back I just stayed in his arms.

He picked me up and sat down placing me back down onto his lap never letting me go.

I sat there as I continued to shake and have a few short sessions of tears.

It was about an hour and a half later and the doctor came back out with a clipboard.. That either means that's his release forms or failed test results.

I took a deep breath as me and Nash got up to talk to him.

The doctor handed Nash the clipboard and Nash looked at them then smiled.

"We've seen much improvement from him and he passed all the tests, he is able to go home as soon as those forms are filled out." He said smiling

"Thank you so much." I said to him as I finally smiled for the first time in days

He nodded then Nash filled out a form and Cam brought Hayes his clothes.

I paced the waiting room anxiously waiting for Hayes.

The door opened and Cam came out followed by Hayes.

I ran over and jumped into his arms picture at the top

He hugged me back immediately.

"I told you you were going to be strong." I said to Hayes as he put me down.

He smiled with relief then we left as soon as Nash handed in the papers.

We got back to the hotel and Bart was waiting for us in the lobby.

He gave both Nash and Hayes hugs and said how happy he was that they were both okay.

"So should we still do the show today or push it back a day?" Bart asked once we all got settled into my room
