Chapter 54

Sydney's POV

"Would you wake up already!" I heard Shelby yell as I hit the floor.

"Ow." I mumbled as I stood up

"Finally! Omg I thought you died!" She said laughing

I laughed with her then noticed it was 10:00 already

"My mom left us pancakes before she went to the store and we only have 5 hours until Cam comes!" She said going into her closet looking at all her clothes

"No, no, no, ew no, why do I even have this?, no, no, definitely not, nope." I heard Shelby say and I let out a small laugh then grabbed her arm.

"Eat first, then shower, then outfit, then hair. Got it?" I said as I dragged her downstairs

She laughed "yes mam."

We ate the pancakes that Sarah left for us then went back upstairs and Shelby showered while I got dressed into my peach sweater, my jean shorts that are lightly faded, and I took my black vans out.

I brushed my hair leaving it wavy and put on light makeup then sat back down on Shelby's bed and waited for her.

I smiled then turned my phone off as the door opened and Shelby came in.

"Okay so water park! Pick out your favorite bikini and I got the clothes." I told her and she smiled walking over to her dresser

I walked to her closet and went through her clothes. After a few minutes I decided on her light blue and red Captain America crop top and her button up black high waisted shorts.

Shelby took out all of her bikinis and then settled on like 10. She went to the bathroom and tried them all on and finally after like a half hour she came out with her dark blue, light blue, and purple tie dyed bikini that has a ruffely top.

I gave her the shirt and shorts and she put them on over her bikini then just put her hair in a messy bun and put on water proof mascara.

She set aside cute black sandals, and a bag that has: a towel, extra clothes just incase, some money and a sweatshirt. Once her bag was packed we headed downstairs with 2 hours to spare. Yes she took a long time to get ready but I don't blame her.

We put on Pitch Perfect and sang along to all the songs.

The 2 hours went by fast and before we knew it Cam texted Shelby saying he was on his way.

"Omg what do I do? What if I screw up? What if he hates me? What-" Shelby started to panic and I cut her off

"Cool down. Take a deep breath and just be you. He'll love you I promise. Trust me if he asked you out on a date himself that's already a good sign for him." I said laughing a little at the last part and she joined me

She settled down and Matt texted me telling me that he was right behind Cam and will pick me up.

Cam pulled in and Shelby smiled widely and literally jumped off the couch and ran to the door when Cam knocked then played it off cool when she opened the door.

I grabbed my stuff and walked over behind Shelby listening to their conversation.

"Hi." Cam said smiling

"Hi." Shelby replied smiling back

They both just sorta stood there for a minute just looking at each other and smiling.

"So you um ready to go?" Cam asked finally as he scratched the back of his neck nervously

Shelby giggled then replied "one second" she said then ran to the bathroom

Cam looked at me and smiled and I mouthed to him 'hold her hand' and he blushed slightly then mouthed back 'I will later' and I smiled

"Okay let's go!" Shelby said after she used the bathroom

"Sounds good." Cam said smiling at her and nervously putting his arm around her as they walked towards the car.

I smiled and quickly took out my phone taking a picture then climbing into Matt's car.

"Awe they're so cuteeee!!" I said to Matt as Cam opened Shelby's car door for her then went around to his side and backing out of the driveway.

He chuckled at me causing me to smile at his laugh, even that's perfect.

"What?" He asked poking my cheeks

"You're too cute" I replied giggling

He smiled "you're cuter" he said as he took my hand in his then put the other on the steering wheel and pulled out of her driveway heading to his house.

We pulled into his driveway and saw 4 other cars in the driveway.

"Who's home?" I asked

"Just my mom and dad, they are going to some show with friends and they were all meeting here, they should be leaving shortly." He said as he parked and we both got out

Matt opened the front door and I put my bag on the bench in the entry hallway then my shoes on the tray thing with Matt's.

"Hey mom." Matt said as we walked into the living room where everyone was.

"Hi honey. Nice to see you again Sydney." Laura said walking over and hugging me

"How'd it go with Cam?" She asked

"He was a nervous wreck." Matt said chuckling

"Awe. What about that sweet girl? Shelby?" She asked

I nodded "she was just as nervous but I think it will go well." I said as I pulled out my phone and showed her the picture of them walking with Cam's arm around her.

"Awe! Too cute!" She said smiling

"Well we are heading out to the show then out to dinner so we won't be home until late tonight. Here's some money for you two to order some food and feel free to stay the night if you would like Sydney." She said handing Matt money then smiling at me

"Thank you." I said smiling back

"Alright bye guys." Matt said as they all  started walking out

"Bye!" Both Laura and Raphael said leaving then all the cars pulled out of the driveway
