Sydney's POV

I woke up to my alarm and noticed my eyes were all red and puffy.

I went to stand up and heard something drop onto the floor. I knelt down and picked up the photo album that fell and I instantly remembered what had happened the night before.

I took a deep breath and started to walk towards my closet but stepped on something in the process.

I looked down to see ripped up pieces of pictures all over my floor. I sighed and continued to my closet dreading going to school today.

I decided on my white shirt that has black sleeves, black skinny jeans, and my black and white vans. I straightened my hair and put a beanie on then washed my face and put on light makeup.

I grabbed my phone and my bag and headed downstairs to see Nash and Hayes in the kitchen and Cam and Matt in the living room.

"Morning." I said tiredly as I sat at the counter

I got a series of "mornings" in reply

"How ya hanging in there kid?" Cam asked as he came over and rubbed my back

"Never better." I said faking a smile

They all just looked at each other then back at me not buying it at all.

"Guys really I'm fine okay. Just let it go alright. I've already lost mom once what is it to lose her again." I said shrugging their looks off and grabbing an apple then walking out to the Matts car.

He got into the front seat and I got into the passenger seat then Hayes climbed in back.

We got to school and the car ride was silent with just the faint sound of the radio.

Matt parked his car and they headed off towards the high school and I headed towards the middle school.

"Syd wait." I heard Matt call and I spun on my heels so I was facing him

He walked over to me and looked me in the eyes.

"You promise me to call or text me if you want to leave or if something happens?" He asked

I avoided eye contact and looked at the ground not wanting to answer because I knew today was going to be hard.

"Syd?" I heard Matt say again then I felt his hand slowly pick my chin up so I was looking him in the eye.

"You promise me?"

"I promise." I replied half certain making him sigh of relief then quickly peck my lips and catch back up to Hayes who already had a concerned and sorry look on his face as they disappeared around the corner.

I slowly walked to the cafeteria and found my table then took my phone out and started to scroll through social media when I started to come across more and more things about my mom.

How on earth does everyone know about this already?

As I continued to scroll through my question was answered with the worst answer.. There I see an old picture of Me Will Nash and Hayes with the caption 'these are the most ungrateful group of kids. I'm glad I abandoned them when I did because I would never want to raise any of them. They are disrespectful and are all brats. Faking my death was the best thing I have ever done. I'm sorry to anyone who has to deal with them I truly am.'
