Sydney's POV

I felt a light squeeze on my hand and I snapped back to reality realizing that we are pulling into the mall parking lot.

Matt parked the car and we got out heading into the mall.

I now had an uneasy feeling inside of me as we entered the front doors and saw Kristen with her boyfriend standing about 20 feet away from us.

I didn't realize I had stopped until I saw Matt walking farther ahead of me so I quickly caught up to him but stayed close by his side.

"Hey Kris!" Matt says as he hugged his sister

She smiled then looked at me.

"Omg you must be Sydney! I've been so excited to meet you!" She said happily as she brought me into a hug.

I smiled and hugged back.

"So this is my boyfriend Braiden, Braiden this is Matts girlfriend Sydney." She said introducing us.

Braiden had brown hair that was spiky and he had bright green eyes... Not how I pictured him.

"Hi nice to finally meet you." Braiden said extending his hand towards me with a kind smile

I nervously extended my hand as well and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you too." I replied as confidently as I could trying to hide my distant fear

We decided to shop around a bit and I wanted to get some cute dresses because I literally have none and we have some more formal occasions occurring.

I really hate wearing dresses and skirts and all so I only wear them when I have to.

"Hey Kristen where do you think I could find some dresses?" I ask as we leave American Eagle

"Omg! Dress shopping is my favorite!!!" She said excitedly "come with me!" She continued taking my arm and practically dragging me through the mall until we reach a small store.

"I come here all the time and I always find something!" She said as we entered the store with Matt and Braiden slowly following behind us

After I tried on what feels like a million dresses and is being in the store for hours on end I finally found 3 different style dresses which met everyone's approval: including Shelby who I sent about every picture to.

I decided on a nicer strapless cream/peach laced dress that has a thin brown belt across the stomach that ends just above my knees. A white dress that got darker towards the bottom and went to grey then black, the bottom was a little ruffely and went to my knees. Then I got a few nice crop tops with some maxi skirts.

Once I paid and we left the mall it was already 4:45.

We decided do head to Panera for some food then we were gonna head home.

I walked with Matt back to the car and threw my bags in his trunk before we headed off to eat.

At Panera I got my normal Mac and Cheese with bread and a Dr Pepper as well as Kristen. Matt got some soup with bread and iced tea. And Braiden got a sandwich with chips and a Coke.

We found a window seat and all talked while we ate.

"So how's living with 4 boys?" Braiden asked breaking the silence that had occurred

I slightly laughed and looked at him "oh it's one adventure that's for sure"

He chuckled "I grew up with 3 older sisters who used to put makeup on me and make me play dress up with them." He said

Hearing that he had sisters made me tense a little but Matt could tell and he took my hand instantly making me feel better.

"Do you play any sports?" I asked him after I was calm again because I realized I still know nothing about him

"Yeah I play lacrosse, football, basketball and I used to play baseball and soccer." He said

I looked at Matt and smiled "he'll fit in just fine" I said laughing

Matt smiled "yeah.."

"So... I've heard that you can sing?" Braiden asked turning his attention back to me

"Yeppers, you heard right." I said

He nodded and we continued small talk.

By the time we finished eating I learned so much about Briaden and he's not the guy I imagined at all.

After we got home Matt and Braiden played X-Box while Kristen and I talked more.

I felt my phone buzzing and I took it out of my pocket seeing I was getting a call from Cam.

S- Sydney  C- Cam

S- hey Cammy what's up?
C- where are you?
S- I'm at Matts why?
C- I don't think you should come home tonight..
S- why?
C- ....
S- Cam? What aren't you telling me?
C- just please don't come home whatever you do just stay with Matt please Sydney
S- fine. Bye Cammy
C- thank you! Bye

I hung up but there was no way I was staying here I needed to know what was going on.

"Hey Matty?!" I called since they were in the other room

"Yeah?"

"Can you bring me home please?" I asked and Kristen immediately stiffened because I had Cam and Is conversation on speaker

"Cam said not to go home Syd.. He sounded serious" she said worried

"I know but when Cams serious that means somethings wrong, and if somethings wrong then my brothers are involved, and if my brothers are involved then I need to know about it." I said putting my shoes on and walking into the living room where Matt had the game paused

"Ready?" He asked

I nodded and looked back at Kristen who had concern all over her face

"Bye guys." I said then Matt and I headed for the house

We pulled into the driveway and everything seemed normal. I cautiously got out of Matts car and walked towards the front door.

"Hey guys I'm- " I started as I walked into the living room with Matt behind me but was caught off guard at what I saw

"Syd I told you to not come home." Cam said nothing me in a panicked voice

"Who's she?" I asked noticing a skinny woman with long brown hair and blue eyes

"You don't recognize me?" She replied to my comment almost hurt

"Am I supposed to?"
