Chapter 23

Nash's POV

We got back to the hotel and I was really hesitant on leaving her alone in the room after the incident at the park.

"Syd are you sure you want to stay here.. You don't just want to chill on the pool deck?" I asked nervously

"I'm tired, I really need to sleep Nash." She said yawning

"You can sleep downstairs." I urged

She realized what I was doing and her facial expression softened.

"Nashy, I'm okay now. I'm not hurt. I know you're worried about me but I can handle myself. I promise that as soon as I'm awake I will text you then I will be down shortly after. I'm gonna be okay." She reassured me before hugging me tightly

"I don't want anything to happen to you Syd. I love you." I said hugging her back

"I know Nashy. I will be okay." She said again

"Okay. Love you" I said kissing her head and walking to the door

"I love you too." She replied as she laid down and I left.

I got to the elevator and headed down to the pool.

The rest of the guys were all in the pool already.

I sat down in one of the chairs and just watched as they all just made even bigger fools of themselves.

For some reason I just didn't feel right, I wasn't myself.

Cam came and sat next to me.

"Hey you okay?" He asked

"I don't know." I sighed

"Dude she'll be okay. She's safe now." Cam said trying to calm me down

"I know but I couldn't do anything to save her. I had to watch my baby girl almost get raped right I front of me. I felt so helpless, I couldn't even move." I started crying as I remembered the skate park.

Cam didn't say anything he just hugged me.

"It's okay Nash. There's nothing you could've done about it. Just be happy that she's okay now. That's all that matters." He said

I nodded

"Where's Hayes?" I asked trying to look around

"I'm not sure, I haven't seen him since we left the park. I figured he was in his room." Cam said confused

"He wasn't there when I left. I haven't seen him." I said

I took my phone out and called him.

Straight to voice mail.

I continued trying and no luck. He didn't answer his texts or calls.

"What is he up to?" I asked everyone now that we're all trying to contact him

A half hour went by and still no answer from him.

"Maybe he's sleeping in the room." I thought aloud

We all calmed down and went with that thought.

I finally calmed down and hung out with the guys.

I heard my phone and jumped out hoping it was Hayes.

It was Sydney.
