Chapter 64

*1 month later*

Sydney's POV

"Come on losers! You literally take forever!" I yelled from the bottom of the stairs as Will Nash and Hayes slowly trot down the stairs all dressed and ready to go

"Finally, I've only been waiting like 5 years for you all to be ready." I said sassily

"Jeez what's gotten into her?" Nash says as he walks past me towards the car

"She hasn't seen her best friend, boyfriend, and practically brother in a month and you boys were being extremely slow I think you'd be sassy too." My aunt says as we all get into the car

It was nice to come home for a bit and see Sky and my Aunt because it's been so long since I have but I miss Virginia and Matt and Shelby and Cam.

I've FaceTimed with them almost every day and I've been kept in the loop with everything that has happened. Especially when Cam finally asked Shelby out.

I was so excited to finally be back home but I'm even more excited to finally go back to Virginia.

It's only been a little over a month but it feels like forever since I last saw all of them and since I was in school and had a normal life.

Hayes and I have been taking online schooling that's linked straight to the same school we were at in Virginia so we are all caught up and ready to go for when we get back.

Hayes is excited to get back to school because it's football season and he gets to start as a freshman.

Nash won't admit it but he misses Cam like crazy and he acts like he's missing half of him without Cam around, he literally doesn't know what to do with himself.

Will is headed back to school so we say bye to him at the airport as well so he can go and finish the year then he's transferring to a different college for next year.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the car doors open and close then noticed we were already at the airport.

I eagerly hopped out and grabbed my bag from the trunk following Nash and Hayes into the airport with Will Sky and my Aunt behind us.

We get through baggage and all then it's time to say goodbye once again.

I hug Will first and he promises to check in on me and make sure everything is going okay. That he's gonna keep me posted on everything that happens with him and school.

I watched as he slowly disappeared into the crowd of people that has grown over the past few minutes.

I then hug Sky and my Aunt and say goodbye and for some reason I don't feel sadness. I don't feel the pain of knowing I'm leaving again. I don't feel anything. It almost feels like I'm hugging complete strangers..

I shake the feeling off and follow Nash and Hayes onto the plane sitting in the window seat next to Hayes who is sitting next to Nash.

I plug my headphones in and listen to music just staring out the window until I drift off to sleep.

I wake up to Hayes lightly shaking me meaning we've landed.

We got our bags and we're waiting by luggage check for Matt Cam and Shelby to come pick us up.

I was getting so anxious to see them again I was literally shaking.

Finally I saw Shelby's small figure making her way through the crowd and when she turned around we made quick eye contact before she squealed and ran over to me as we both hugged each other excitedly.

"I've missed my best bitch!" Shelby said laughing after we both let go.

"I've missed you too Shelbs" I replied laughing at her comment

As Shelby and I were talking I felt someone put their hands over my eyes making me jump.

"Guess who?" I heard my favorite voice say

I turned around and saw Matt standing there with a huge smile.

"MATTY!" I yelled and hugged him tightly

He picked me up and spun around hugging me. He put me back down on the ground and gave me a quick peck on the lips.

"I've missed you princess." He said smiling still

"I've missed-" I started before hearing a loud voice

"Umm betch you better not have forgotten me! It hasn't been that long!" I knew the voice instantly and started laughing as I saw Cam walking towards me after talking with Nash and Hayes

"Cammy!!!!!" I yelled and gave him a big hug. "I could never ever forget you!" I added in from his comment

He just chucked then ruffled my hair, making me have to fix it afterwards.

We finished the reunion then headed back to our house.

"I'm so happy to be home!" I yelled as I walked through the front door and ran into the living room, plopping onto the couch and sprawling across it.

They all laughed at me once they saw what I did. Then Matt came over and picked me up moving me over to one corner of the couch as he sat next to me.

"We actually have school tomorrow Hayes.. " I said realizing it was Sunday.

He groaned "That means getting up early and we all know I don't do that." He complained

"But hey you have football to look forward to." Matt said

"Right that starts tomorrow! How's the team look?" Hayes asked Matt who is one of the team captains

"I think we will be pretty good this year. And with you our running back I think we will be a solid team." He explained

Hayes nodded "you're the quarterback right?"

"Kinda. I play QB but I also am a wide receiver too. It depends on the game really. The other quarterback will be that Johnny kid. Then if I'm QB there's a new freshmen who will be the wide receiver." Matt replied

"Oh cool."

They talked about the team for a few more minutes then we all decided to go to bed.
