You can hate something you love,
And love something you hate.
Time that passes by can be early,
But it can also become too late.
She put her hands over her belly,
And stared at the stretched skin.
It was something beautiful,
But the ugly part was sitting within.
Her parents wanted an abortion,
And she was also doubting.
But nonetheless she protected it,
Against the yelling and shouting.
And when "it" moved for the first time,
She was smiling before she knew it.
That only made her realize her love,
Even when it was hard to admit.
The "it" changed to "he" soon,
And she forgot where he came from.
The baby was from a rapist,
But he still deserved a mum.
You can love and hate at the same time,
But love overpowers all the hate.
When she held her baby for the first time,
She knew he was worth the emotional weight.
Sometimes love and hate,
Are separated by a very thin line.
And sometimes things can shine,
When you are surround by the dark.
He did have the nose of the rapist,
And his eyes were just as grey.
But he was loved nonetheless,
Because of the word he'd say.
''Mummy"
