Baby, I want you to see us sitting here,
Together and talking about our memories.
You would tell us to stop if you'd be here,
And you would blush while we tease.
But today we are sitting here for a different reason,
Because our memories will get old.
You will never sit here together with us again,
And our hearts are now turning cold.
We know we will never forget you,
But saying that sentence hurts so much.
We don't want to use the past tense,
When talking about the emotional touch.
You are still our friend and will always be,
You are never going to be in our past.
We will burn a candle for you every year,
And get a tattoo so your name will last.
You will always be a part of our circle,
Because a circle doesn't begin and won't end.
That's what you mean to me, to all of us,
That's what it means to be a true friend.
Our circle is as unbreakable as a wedding ring,
Friends are for life too, in sickness and health.
Money and other material things aren't important,
Because friendship is true wealth.
We miss you.
