Part XXIV

Nara's :

I was leaning against Taehyung's shoulder while sitting with him on the sand. Our hands are intertwined before he kissed my head softly. Telling me that it's almost 15 minutes to 9pm. He stand up first, holding my hand firmly while trying to gain my balance. We sweep some of the sand that caught in between our clothes' curves and walk back to his car.

On our way back to my house, Taehyung never unravels his left hand from my right one. After about 10 minutes, we reach my house and he pulls into the driveway. He turn down the headlights and pull out the widest, sweetest, brightest smile he ever did while he looks at me.

"I hope you enjoy your- our date tonight" he speaks.

"I did. So much. Thanks to you" I say back to him.

"Nope" he shook his head diligently. "Because you're so special, it made this whole thing wonderful and amazing. I had a great time too" Taehyung chuckles while his left hand still hovering over my right hand.

He take a deep breath before he speaks again. "Um, Nara-yah.." he scratches his nose awkwardly. "Y-you know- you didn't have t- to answer me by tonight- just um- just saying though.. because I don't w- want it to burden you-"

"Let's do it again"

Taehyung shots a surprise expression towards me. He's about to say something but somehow it's inaudible. "W-what? S- sorry-"

"Let's do this again. I mean, this whole date thing" I repeat my words again.

"Jinjja? A- are you-"

"Well, I am" I shrug. "IF you let me choose what we're gonna do for our next date" I suggest at him.

He blinks his shiny dark brown irises and is holding  in his internal screams of joy. Trying to act cool before he exhaled a relief sigh.

"Y-yeah. S- sure! Whenever, wherever you like. It's all up to you"

"Great. Then, I'll see you on Monday?"

"Um? Monday?" He frowns.

"At class, pabo-yah" I playfully slaps his thigh. Then he palms his face in embarrassment. I laugh with him before I unbuckle my seat belt.

"Hey.." he calls at me and I look at him in questions. "Aren't you forgetting something?"

I pull a confused look before looking around. I got my handbag, and phone with me. What did I miss? "Uh, I guess no-"

"Wait, there it is" he exclaims while trying to reach the back seat, looking for something.

I too join in his search for whatever that is uncertain but then he immediately turns his head to me and pecks my lips. My eyes opened wide in shock and my lips left with the subtle traces of his. My blood rushes to my cheeks as look at me.

"Good night, Nara".

"Y- you cheater" I mumble while puffing my cheeks. He laughs that I know for sure he heard me. "Good night, Taehyung"

So I got off the car and walk to the door. Then when I turn to look at him, he's already on the main road. But when I try to search for my house key, I realised it.

Ah, I forgot to take off and return his varsity.

Taehyung's :

I finally reach back my house and go straight to my manager hyung's room. I slowly knock at the door and when I heard he permits me to come inside, I did and I thank him for lending me his car.

When I go out from his room, I was shocked a bit when I saw a dark figure leaning against the wall of the hallway to our rooms.

"Hyung! You scared me!"

"Where have you been for this.." Namjoon glances at his watch "two hours?"

"I uh- I got something important to do" I say, in the calmest way I could as he scans my outfit.

"Do you remember when is our showcase?" Namjoon readjust his pose and slides his hands into his shorts' pockets.

"I uh- I do-"

"Then you should know we're having it next week, on Tuesday, to be more precise" His voice deeper than usual.

"Whatever you're doing for the last two hours, you have unfortunately missed a lot of things"

I pull out a frowning face.

"We had practiced many changes on the dance choreography and we also rearranged some of the parts in our singing"

"Hyung, I will make up for it-"

"Sure" he cuts my words. "Tomorrow we start early as possible".

"And I don't want us to repeat the whole choreography in front of PDnim because of you" he shots the words sternly before heading straight to his room.

Leaving me in restless state.

While being absentmindedly walking, I reach my room which was shared with Jimin and Hoseok hyung. Both of them look at me, and sigh almost on the same time.

"Taehyung-ah..are you okay?" Hoseok being concerned at me. I just expel a heavy sigh with thousands of meaning.

Jimin was apparently ready to take some rest, pulls back his shirt down to cover his body. He stand up and come close to me. He puts his right hand on my shoulder and pats.

"I'll be in the dance practice room" leaving me clueless as I look back at him.

"What..you want to make up for it or not?" Jimin shrugs. I almost choke of relief tears at that very moment.

"Y-yes! I do! Wait- I um- gonna change my clothes and I'll be there shortly" I reply, earning a smile from him as he exits our room.

Few minutes later, I join Jimin at the dance practice room and he diligently teaches me all the changes and everything that I missed. I have to say, he is a good teacher.

And a good friend.

Well, a friend in need is a friend indeed.

Until we heard someone opens the door and joins us at the room.

"Well, I don't think my body wad stretched enough at the practice just now. I'll just be right here whenever you guys need me" Hoseok starts stretching his body and fakes his over expression before he joins me and Jimin practicing the whole thing that I missed just now.

I am a man.

I can never show my affections too much to someone.

Especially a guy.

I mean.

From a guy to say that to another guy.

That was very cheesy.

I am so glad to have them.

That I shed a single relief tear from my eyes. But quickly wipe it to hide the truth.

Earning me a hug from Hoseok hyung and a pat from Jimin as I facepalm myself.

"We're in this together, don't worry, Taehyung-ah"

And I pull them into a brotherly hug.

"Thank you".
