When Colten and I finally get back to the house I feel as if I'm going to pass out due to heat stroke.
This is exactly why I love the winter, you can only freeze to death.
"The air better be on in here," I fan myself with my hand while Colten takes his good ol' time unlocking the door.
Right when the big wooden slab opens a frenzy of cold air races out making me scream and run towards it.
I step foot into the house and cry with relief from the coldness. I really needed this.
"Your such a baby," Colten laughs from behind me, closing the door to keep the cool air inside our sanctuary.
"Yep, but I'm your baby," I smile cheekily. "I need a cold bath."
"Why don't we just go swimming in the pool?" He asks and I think about it for a second.
I mean we could...
"Yeah, let's do that. I wanna be tanner than all those bitches back in Michigan," I snap my fingers with sass and head towards the fridge to grab a bottle of water.
"You know, if we still lived in Cali you'd always be tan," he says from behind me, his breath hitting my ear.
Colten was on board with moving back to Michigan when we did, but I can tell that he is missing it still. I am somewhat too, but I like being closer to my mother in-law.
"You miss it don't you?" I turn around to face him and notice his face looks slightly saddened.
"Kind of. I did spend six years there after all," he slightly smiles.
I nod my head in understanding and smirk.
"Race you out to the pool!" I squeal and take of my shirt while I run, opening the back door.
"Oh your so going to get it," I hear Colten say not to far behind me and my heart rate picks up.
Right as I'm at the edge of the pool, two hands grab my waist and pull me to them.
I don't have much time to react before Colten says, "Cannon Ball!" And water surrounds us.
My cheeks puff out to conserve oxygen as water surrounds me and I move towards the surface of the water.
"Asshole," I mutter at him while I stand up.
"I'm your asshole," he smirks and I scowl.
"Unfortunately," I fake yawn and he grabs my waist again making me laugh.
"I know you don't really feel that way," he growls making me laugh even more.
"But I do," I try my best to keep a straight face, but fail miserably.
"Your being a very naughty girl, Nikki," he whispers huskily in my ear making my giggling fit seize.
His hands slide to the front of my shorts and unzips them, pulling them down my thighs.
"Colten..." I moan as he starts rubbing his finger against me under water.
"Only I can make you feel this way, Nikki," he whispers in my ear and I have to grab onto his shoulders when his fingers discard the boundary of clothing that keeps his skin from meeting my swollen core.
