Don't slap the bitch. Don't slap the bitch.
"You made that up," I smile sarcastically at her, taking a sip of my non-alcoholic beverage.
"Keep telling yourself that, Nikki," she smirks. "We all know you liked to experiment."
I've never even thought about kissing another girl. The fake bitch.
"With guys," I smile. "Not girls. Or whatever you are."
"Okay," Colten blows out, seeming nervous. "Why don't we all just-"
"It's not healthy to keep things in, Nikki," she fakes concern. "You should really stop denying your past."
I chuckle. "So should you. What was his name again? Luke - Luke Warning?"
"I don't know what you're talking about." She shrugs, but I can see through her calm facade. Gia is a ticking time bomb and if you say just the right thing, you'll set her off. I need to pick my bones carefully.
"Oh right," I slap my forehead in fake 'duh'. "How would you remember? You were probably to busy sucking his dick!"
Gia is lunging across the table before I even blink. Colten pulling me from my chair, holding me back as Marvin goes to calm his raging step-daughter. She's an animal, there's no consoling her.
"Let's go," Colten growls in my ear, obviously not proud of my petty game with the bitch. Like I care! She is a fucking psycho and needed to be out in her place.
I grab my jacket and purse, Colten already pulling me to the door. The cold air hits me hard and fast, my cheeks freezing already.
"Ow!" I wince. "Get off of me."
Colten let's go right away, turning to face me with a dark scowl.
"Look," I smile to try and lighten the mood. "I know that was bit much back there-"
"A bit much?" He nods, rolling his lips into his mouth angrily. "No, Nikki, that was a lot."
I roll my eyes. "I'm sorry, okay? She was getting me angry and so I did the only thing I knew how to do."
"Do you not realize what this could've meant?" He asks, seemingly out of breath by my 'stupidity'.
"I understand those people mean a lot in there," I fidget with my fingers.
Colten laughs. My mouth falls open in shock as he continues to laugh like he's just heard the funniest joke.
"What so funny?" I narrow my eyes at him, glaring the best I can.
"You think this is about my job?" Now I'm confused.
"It's not?" I ask.
"No, Nikki," he growls. "This is about you and the baby's health."
Oh.
"You know what the doctor had said. Too much stress could lead to problems and now your in a restaurant looking like you are about to jump over the table and pull Gia's hair out." I was going to.
"I know," I sigh, looking down at the ground. I'm fucking stupid, but I couldn't help it! She was asking for it and it was only logical for me to want to jump her.
"I understand that she was provoking you, but God, Nikki." He sounds exasperated. "You fucking scare me when you do that. I worry about you enough as it is and now I have a baby on top of that."
I'm crazy. I'm crazy because I fucking start crying. Crying! I'm freaking balling in the middle of a parking lot because my husband is worried about me.
