"So how's everything going?" Brittni asks, sipping on her pop.

"Good," I smile brightly. "I am now three months pregnant and our doctor said that next visit we'll be able to find out the gender!"

Two days ago when Colten and I went in for our third appointment, the doctor has said everything was looking good and that we'll be able to find out the gender. Ever since then, I've gotten a baby book full of names and have non stop been going through it. If it weren't for Brittni asking me to lunch on this winter afternoon, I'd probably be lounging on the couch doing the same thing I have been the past few days.

"That's so exciting!" She claps her hands with a bright smile. After announcing the news to everyone, they've been very persistent on news. How big I am each day? If I'm feeling all right? How bad the morning sickness is? I always end up lying about the sickness because I'd rather not worry them. It's been pretty rough, I've never liked throwing up or feeling sick, so this is pretty cruel to me. It'll all pay off in the end, though. "I need to come to your next appointment."

I nod. "Definitely. All of you came come."

"Oh my gosh!" She gasps, her eyes widening. "I'm going to have to start planning your baby shower!"

"We haven't even found out the sex yet," I smile. "You don't have to worry just yet."

"You know me," she waves her hand. "I like to be fully prepared."

"Oh, I know," I chuckle. "And besides, you need to focus on your wedding."

She rolls her eyes. "Forget about that. Jackson and I agreed that it won't be for another six months. We have plenty of time. Right now, I'm more worried about my niece or nephew."

I laugh. "You're going to be an amazing aunt, Brit."

"Hell yeah I am," she smirks proudly. "That little baby is going to be spoiled to death by me. Cute outfits, the most amazing diapers any baby could ask for, and only the best mashed carrots."

I can't help but burst out laughing at her statement. It brings a smile to my face that this baby will have such an amazing family to grow up to. Something that neither of us had. I want his or her life to be different. Never will they wonder where their parents are, what they're doing for their birthday. And they definitely won't be growing up to fast.

"Speaking of food," she swallows down the piece of sandwhich she had plopped into her mouth. "Are you going to breast feed?"

This thought had been transferred back and forth between my husband and me, none of us having a problem with either. My mother bottle fed me, but Karen breast fed Colten and said she wouldn't want it any other way. I like the idea of my own milk being fed to my baby, not some artificial shit that could get them cancer or something.

"We're not sure yet," I play with my straw. "I want to breast feed, but I'm kind of scared."

She laughs. "Why? Do you think Colten will get all jealous?"

My face twists in disgust and I chuck a fry at her. "That is actually really revolting."

Brittni is to busy cracking up at her own "joke" to notice the fry hitting her cheek. I swear, she's on drugs.

"I bet you that he will!" She laughs. "He probably loves sucking on those perky little-"

"Brittni, shut up!" I shriek, looking around to see if anyone heard her statement. Luckily, we haven't drawn any eyes. That doesn't mean anything, though.

"Sorry, sorry," she wipes a tear from underneath her eye. "Whew, that was good."

"You're sick," I roll my eyes.
