-=Nina's Point of View=-
We landed in a large wooded area that I didn't recognize at all. "Where are we?" I asked as we walked across the fields. "Firgrove" Sunny replied. I remembered seeing Firgrove on a map. It was all the way on the other side of Jorvik from where I lived. "I've never been this far from home before" I thought out loud. "Where do you live?" Sunny asked. "Jarlaheim" I replied. "Yeah we're pretty far from there" she said. We were silent for a minute until Sunny asked "So how'd you end up trapped there with me?" I told her what had happened on the fields. "Wait, you friend was using silver fire!?" She asked. "Yeah I've never seen anything like it" I replied. "Silverblaze" she whispered. I realized she was talking about Jacky's horse. "I've seen him, he's my friend's horse!" I told her. She looked right at me a hopeful gleam in her eye. "So he's at Jorvik stables?" she asked. "Yeah" I replied. I wondered why she was so desperate to see him. I asked her "Why do you sound so excited to go see him?" "Because" she replied sounding a little nervous "I'm pregnant" I stopped walking. "Wait does he even know!?" I asked. "No I didn't get a chance to tell him" she said her head hanging low. "How long?" I asked her. "6 months" she replied "I was waiting to be sure" I was suddenly really glad my mom was a vet. "Hold on" I said suddenly remembering. "If they didn't take my phone maybe I can call Jacky!" I dug through my pockets and was rewarded when I pulled out my phone glad to see it was still in one piece. I quickly called Jacky glad to see I had signal. "Hello, Jacky?" I said excitedly. "Nina? Thank God, I was so worried!" "Yeah me and a friend of Silverblaze's escaped, we're in Firgrove, and she has something impor-" suddenly the call was cut short. A robotic female voice spoke from the phone "Your service has expired, please contact your provider to renew it" "Dang it!" I yelled frustrated. If only I'd paid the phone bill last week. Why did I decided to wait until this week to pay the bill I thought. I turned to Sunny "Well looks like we're on our own" I said with a sigh. "I wish we could just fly to Jorvik Stables, but Dark Core isn't that stupid they'll be watching the sky" Sunny said also sighing. I looked at the moon in the sky, it looked to be around Midnight. "I have some money, we can stay in Firgrove for the night" I offered. "Good idea, they wouldn't expect to find me in a stable" she replied. We walked out of the woods into the town. Firgrove was pretty cool looking with a massive wall that appeared to be made of tree trunks around it. I payed to keep Sunny in the stables for a night and decided to just stay with her for the night. I couldn't renew my stupid phone until I got home, only my laptop was authorized on to that and only my mom knew the password to it. Suddenly I remembered something my mom had told me. Two days ago we'd been in my house and she'd said "I need to take a trip to New Hillcrest to buy some more equipment, I'll be gone for three days starting tomorrow". That meant she didn't even know I was gone. I didn't want her to get involved in a search, she could get hurt if she did. I mentioned to Sunny "If we aren't back in two days, my mom will realized I'm missing and try to find me" Sunny sighed. "Well we'd better get back then, we're on our own until we do" "What do you mean?" I asked. "Well, we can't tell people what happened, nobody would believe us, and even if they did they'd get involved in something bigger then they should. Anyone who already knows everything is on the other side of the island" I knew she was right. "I guess you're right" I said slumping to the floor "we really are on our own in this"
