-=Oreo's Point of View=-
We hid behind a large rock near where we'd last seen the people. Our owners were gone, but those evil riders were still here looking around. "They must have escaped" I whispered to the others. "But to where?" Chip asked. "Dunno, let's go somewhere safer to discuss it though" I said glancing at the dark riders to make sure they hadn't seen us. We trotted off until that area was out of sight. We stood out in some fields a good distance away from those people. "Well looking at how they are looking, our friends could only have run north or south safely" Fox said. Suddenly a new voice added "Yes, and they went both" We all looked over to where the sound had come from. Standing there was a horse, with white fur and a blue mane. My mind flashed back suddenly to when it was night in the stable, I'd barely been awake but I remembered this horse he'd startled me by touching my injured leg but then it had healed. "You're that horse that-" I started but he cut me off. "Yes I know, we don't have time to discuss that though" he said. "Two of your friends went North, and the other two went south. I can't tell you who went which way, that's all I know" the horse then explained. "Thanks! Can you at least tell us your name?" Chip asked. "My name is Starshine" the horse replied "I am the last of the horses of the original soul riders" "What happened to the others?" Fox asked. I wondered the same thing. "That's a tale for another time, I can't stay long" Starshine explained "but I have something that may help you" he turned and lifted a small bag off of his back. Starshine tossed it to us and three gold apples rolled out. "What are they?" I asked. "Magic apples from Scarecrow hill" Starshine replied. He then explained "a horse has never eaten one before, but legends say that if one does they will become a horse of light" I had no clue what that meant. I asked Starshine what it did and he replied "It gives you magical powers, with them you will be able to talk to soul riders, and you can use them to fight the dark riders beside your friends" I definitely was going to do that then! I trotted up to an apple and ate it. I felt a strange power surge through me as soon as I did. I looked up to see Starshine was gone. I noticed the other two had eaten the apples as well. "Ok so which way?" Chip asked. Both of them turned to me. How did I become a leader? I asked myself. "Well, we already are a bit to the north of where we last saw them, so north I guess" I replied. "Alright!" Chip said. The three of us then started trotting northward, looking for our friends.
