Chapter 19

I had galloped away as fast as I could when Jacky had told me to go home. I didn't want to, but I knew she had a good reason. I thought about it for a moment. She just wanted me to be safe I thought to myself deciding that must be it. But she's still in danger I thought again sliding to a halt. Chip stopped beside me. "What is it?" he asked me. "They made us leave to protect us... But aren't they still in trouble?" I asked Chip. "Oh my god... You're right!" he replied. Suddenly I heard another horse coming and turned to see Fox galloping towards us, his bridle snapped and only the reins keeping it around his neck, and the saddle looking pretty beat up. "What's wrong? And where's Kate?" I asked him. He was breathing heavily and looked frightened. "I-I think she fell... I-I got so scared that I couldn't think I just wanted to get away!" He reared in frustration. "This is my fault! If I hadn't gotten scared, she wouldn't have fallen!" I walked up to him and gently grabbed the reins around his neck with my mouth and pulled them over his head so the destroyed bridle was off of him. "Hey, it's alright we all get scared sometimes!" I reassured him "Why don't we go back and find her?" I asked him. "Ok... That would make me feel a bit better!" he replied perking up a little. "How do we fight them?" Chip asked suddenly "those people had magic powers, we're just ordinary horses!" "That's our advantage right there, people always underestimate ordinary horses while they sit there laughing at the fact the three normal horses challenged them we can strike them before they even know what hit them!" I said rearing determinedly. "Yeah you're right!" Chip said. "Let's go!" I told the two horses and I raced off galloping back the way we'd come from the other horses following shortly behind me.
