(Maia's perspective)

I opened my door and shut it behind me quickly, not giving Connor a chance to talk to me. All I heard last was"Maia-" before I cut him off. I rushed over to my bed and collapsed on it, ignoring the frantic knocking on my door. Her name was Madison. I know her. I saw her in the hospital, she knows Ryan or whatever his name was. I know her. I just couldn't believe her. Once she left, I got up and walked away from Connor. I didn't care about him at the moment, I just ran off without another word. "Maia please open up" Connor sighed through the door. I shook my head, but then soon realized he couldn't see me. I decided to stay quiet, looking outside the window with a frown. I looked at my schedule and sighed, realizing I had class tomorrow. I quickly changed and relaxed once the knocks had come to an end, sighing in relief. I walked over to my bed and curled up on it, struggling to find sleep. I finally almost dozed off until I heard a couple of voices outside my door. "What are you doing?" Said one voice I didn't know. "Waiting." Replied another voice. That was Connor.

"For what?" Asked the voice, sounded like a girl. "For someone inside" Connor replied. Who is not coming out I added silently. "Why? Is it a girl?" The girl asked. "Yea, her name is Maia." Connor told her. "Oh, that's the new girl, If she's not coming out, maybe you should leave, maybe shes just shy" Replied the girl. I looked at the door with a small chuckle, is shy the best you could come up with? "Maybe, but I don't know" Connor muttered. "Come on, I'll take you out" The girl said, and I bet she was grinning. I looked towards the door with a glare, suddenly hating this girl even though I couldn't see out her door. "Okay" Connor sighed, and all I heard was footsteps. I rolled my eyes, laying my head back onto the pillow. What an idiot. I just shrugged it off, trying my best and closed my eyes. I jumped slightly once the door opened and Caitlyn stepped in. "Hey" She said, looking down the hall once more with a confused look. "Why was Connor waiting outside our door with Emily?" Caitlyn asked, closing the door. "Who's Emily?" I asked, tilting my head. "The girl that likes him, everything okay with you and Connor?" Caitlyn asked, sitting down on her bed across from me.

I nodded, and shrugged. "I wasn't feeling good, so I left." I lied. Caitlyn only nodded, and curled herself under the blankets. "Get some sleep, I assume you have class tomorrow" Caitlyn yawned. I nodded, laying my head back down and closed my eyes.

I woke up with a small smile, my hair was covering my eyes and blinding out the sun that was just rising. Why am I smiling? Probably because of my dream? All I could remember from it was Ryan and Madison. They both seemed happy to see me, and it just felt right inside. But I couldn't worry much about it. I brushed the hair out of my eyes and got up quickly, looking at Caitlyn who was still fast asleep. I didn't want to wait in this room for my class, so I can just talk a walk then.  I got up quickly and changed. Once I finished, I didn't bother taking a key. I knew Caitlyn would be here. I opened the door and looked down the hallway, my brow raising. Red plastic cups rested against some of the doors. Thank god I wasn't up for that. I rolled my eyes and walked outside, instantly shivering and regretting I didn't bring a sweater.

It was getting colder each day, and soon winter would be here. And soon would come my birthday. I smiled faintly and hugged myself, as I looked towards the side walk,  I saw little kids running around their grandparents legs. I smiled at them and took a turn onto the side walks, heading in the opposite direction of my school. I watched as this couple came in front of me. I furrowed my eyebrows and watched them closely. I jumped in surprise from a honk behind me. I spun around and saw a car in the middle of turning as a car raced by. Idiots. Driving shouldn't be this hard if people follow the rules and look out for people. Because accidents are caused by that idiot right there. I rolled my eyes and looked a head of me, the couple had gained a large distance from. Why do I care? I don't know them, nor care about what they're doing. Probably the same thing as me, taking a walk. It was suppose to be a quiet walk, maybe it won't, depending on everything around me. I looked over to the bush the couple was just walking past once it rustled, and a familiar boy and girl jumped out. I stopped dead in my tracks as the couple was taken.I wanted to run, run up to them and help them.
