(Maia's perspective)
The words poured out of my mouth without a thought put into it. I felt everyone's gaze burning into my soul, making me feel weaker by the moment. He had caused this, everyone had caused this. I know everyone was probably shocked by my words, because it had been a couple minutes now since I've said it. It brought nothing by silence, even from Morren. I guess he wasn't expecting me to agree. "Cat got your tongue?" I smirked at him, instantly being greeted by another glare. "No, but it's nice of you do step up and actually put use into this world again." Morren muttered quietly, still loud enough for me to hear. I gave him a glare before turning around only to bump into Octavia. "It's going to be fun having a my sister on the same side."
"I'm not your sister." I said with a raised brow, almost staring at her in disgust. "Half-sister." Octavia chuckled, before leaving my side to talk to Myria. Myria grinned at me with satisfaction, making my gaze turn into a glare. This was going to be difficult, but I already had something mapped out in my mind. And I planned on to stick with that, even if I have to go through this torture. To add to that plan, I've slipped a dagger into my sleeve, and it'll come in handy very soon. "Have you gone mad already?" I heard Madison hiss to me. I quickly turned to face her, putting on a realistic act. "No, for once I've actually gained sense." I spat, glaring at her. "Guys, enough." I heard Aurora sigh, obviously hearing out conflict. " No, just shut up Aurora. And Maia, really? You've gained sense? Please, you've only lost sense. Maybe it would have been better if those demons did kill you!" Madison snapped, drawing in people's attention. "What demons?" Morren asked, walking forward with a glare. "The ones you let lose idiot." Jackson snapped angrily, struggling under a guard's grasp.
"Oh, but what about killing my daughter?" Morren asked a little more sharply, turning to Madison. "I saw demons running directly at her, and ever since she did something to hurt Ryan she lost sense so she just stood there." Madison snapped, giving me an icy glare. "After I did something to hurt Ryan?" I completely lost it. She did not know the whole story. Unless Ryan told her differently, in that case he's dead. And I'm not sugar coating that. "Don't go jumping conclusions when you don't know a thing." I snapped once she nodded, only causing her anger to grow. "That's enough girl, I can have my guards cut your tongue off in seconds." Kia said, coming to my side. I felt myself shiver slightly, looking to my left to see her staring at Madison with a smirk. "Come here, Maia." Myria addressed me, her arms opening for me as Octavia left her side. I forced a smile onto my face and approached her, before stopping right in front of her. I heard everyone talking behind me, but my attention was now turned on my mother.
"I know we haven't had one of these talks about feelings," Myria started, her face cringing in disgust for a moment or two. I raised my brow in amusement, is this something she wanted to talk about? "But I have to admit that I'm proud of you." She finished quietly. "Why?" I asked, crossing my arms. "Because, you've agreed to help your father. And he'd kill me for saying this to anyone else but this is something he's been waiting for, I think you made him happy." She answered, opening her arms again. I paused for a moment. Hearing her say that Morren would kill her for saying something like that to anyone else, makes me realize something. I know the plan was to kill Kia, but to start that plan we need to finish mine. I forced another fake smile onto my face and leaned forward, accepting a hug from her. I heard shouts behind me, which made me grit my teeth. "Don't worry, everything will be okay." I heard Myria whisper into my ear. "Yea, everything will be okay." I whispered, slowly sliding the dagger out from under my sleeve. I know this will bite me in the butt later on, but she deserves this.
In a matter of seconds, I felt hot liquid flow down my arm. I pulled back slightly and looked down, my arm was now covered in blood. I looked back up to see my mother's face, I heard a couple chokes from her, until she wheezed. "Hey, hey!" I flinched from a shout behind me, turning to see Morren glaring at me. "What's wrong with your mother?" He demanded. "Nothing," I started nervously, holding her up and tried to quiet down her chokes on air. "She's fine." I lied, hiding the fact that my dagger was now plunged into her stomach. I turned my head slightly to stare at Kia, who was edging closer to me. I bit my tongue, turning back to Myria who was now limp in my arms. "Liar" She hissed in my ear, making me shiver. "What did you say Kia?" Morren snapped from behind me. "She's a liar, Myria isn't okay." Kia informed him, and without another word she threw me away from Myria. I sighed and watched Myria fall to the ground, half of the dagger buried in her. Dead silence was met by everyone in the room, making me feel more uncomfortable.
