(Maia's perspective)

Same old cell, same old kind of feeling. It was incredible how bored a person could get, I personally thought I was pulling a world record. Everyone had came to see. Jackson, Amy, Madison, Bella and Mason. Except for Imogen and Aurora. Every time one of my friends would come in, they would deliver the news on them. I still didn't trust that Aurora was making the decisions alone. And Icas was no longer in the city, at all. He left immediately after the ceremony. To which all of us were disappointed and disapproved of his choices. Even if he didn't need our approval, which he doesn't, he left anyway. Mason was especially disappointed.

Mason was his friend in the start, and because of Mason discovering him in a party, we wouldn't have accomplished all these achievements because of Icas. Then again, I wouldn't call them achievements, more like let downs. The most shocking news that had been brought to my attention was Bella and Amy being stripped from their supernatural powers. Today, as a matter of fact, now. All I heard was it was painful, where the ripped the bite or mark from your skin using nothing but bare hands and a dagger. They just didn't pay attention to the mark, but they focused their attention to the system as well. As Madison explained it, they had to cut your skin up and various spots to let all the supernatural blood out. It took long, and by the end of it there will be no doubts that Bella and Amy won't be in pain.

All of this was occurring because, who guessed it; Imogen. And of course, Aurora simply agreed and made the arrangements so it would happen now as I speak, with Imogen in charge. I didn't know what Aurora was planning onto do that was more important than controlling the- situation or however you want to call it- with Bella and Amy. I wasn't expecting Madison, Jackson and definitely not Mason coming to visit me while this was happening. I leaned against the cell wall, my hands chained up as they were when I got here. Luckily, I finally had feeling in my legs. At that feeling stopped me abruptly from shouting and screaming at the guards.

I lifted my head up immediately at the sound of a door opening up down the hallway. It was like an instinct, it was like they were training me into a dog. Instead of treat, I looked up to the sound of a door opening. There were a few mummers, as heels clicked down the hall and towards me. I was almost restless to see if the person behind the wall would open up my door. I craved for company, sitting in here and staring at the wall really drains out your energy and patience level.

And at last, my wish was brought to life. The door to my cell opened, revealing the only person I would never want to see. "What could you possibly want?" I hissed, feeling my own venom pouring into my throat. She chuckled. How you could laugh at something like this? What you could laugh at is the thought of us once being friends, closer than that actually. "Speak nice to your Counsellor, Maia." Aurora pulled her lips into a tight line, closing the door behind her. "Nice isn't in my vocabulary." I muttered an answer, turning my head. I couldn't possibly look at her, not now. I always thought she was the person who could pick me up when I needed it most. I thought she wouldn't let me down.

It's still stuck in my head, and I couldn't get over it. "Really? When I first met you, you were the sweetest girl on Earth." She smiled, walking closer with her hands behind her back. "I crossed it out just this morning." I spat my reply. If her goal was indeed to tick me off, she was successful. "I just came here, bearing news that you might want to hear." She said surprisingly calmly, clicking her foot on the ground. I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Alright, lay it on me." It would be amazing if I had the strength to rip my hands out of the cuffs and stand up, so I could strangle the life out of her.

But I would probably stop before I actually killed her. Probably. Not sure yet. "The trail for the murder on your mother, Myria, -" I chuckled out loud, stopping her mid sentence to which she looked shocked, mixed with frustration. "I know her name." My chuckle continued out of my throat, not caring for a second if my tongue was to be cut off to only let her finish her sentence. "Myria," Aurora continued, with the same glare in her eyes. "Will be pressed back. Instead of the trail being held in the Square in two days, it'll be another week before your issue will be brought forward." My heart stopped, as my anger boiled through my blood I thought it would burn it into crust against my skin. "Excuse me?" I snapped, pulling my hands at the cuffs. "You heard me. Unless you want me to repeat slowly for your common sense to keep up?" She raised her brow, almost looking bored with this whole conversation.
