(Maia's perspective)
I hadn't expected her to be here. I wish she wasn't here, they probably started this whole game because of her. She probably gave the idea of killing innocent people, but then again she might have been forced to give such a cruel idea. I didn't know what Morren, Zaine and Myria have named her, I don't know anything about her. She stared at my with those fake innocent eyes, I wasn't sure what she was capable of, but then the little boy might be dead because of her stupid idea. "What are you thinking about so hard there, Maia?" The girl asked. I felt every urge of me to glare at her, but I needed to know her side of the story first. "What's your name?" I asked quietly. Maybe I did take an interest in her, maybe I should take an interest in her. But if anyone else had sensed that I would probably be pulled into questioning. "Why do you ask that?" She smirked at me. I took in a deep breath, muttering faintly "Curious." The girl chuckled, walking closer to me and muttered for only my ears. "Myria had made a deal with Zaine and Morren to name me something unique. She told me she wanted me to stand out from you."
She backed away slowly and announced to everyone more loudly, "My name is Octavia." She smiled, a quite innocent smile. But she couldn't pull off that act in front of us. "That's great. Don't flatter yourself with that name, it's just a name and it won't bring any guys to your feet" Madison snapped. I glanced over to her and watched her arms cross against her chest, her black hair flying back from the sudden wind. The wind felt like ice gliding against my skin, I watched Octavia with my own eyes as she opened her jaw to probably throw back an insult at Madison. I wasn't paying attention to the words she was spitting out like fire, I was too focused on why she had told me what she told me. I finally was released from my deep trance once I felt a hand placed on my shoulder. I turned around slowly to face whoever was towering over me. "You have ears right?" His soothing voice came back through my ears and finally to my brain. I nodded and waited for him to continue, before all the sounds came back into place. Madison and Octavia bickering, Amy and Bella tending to the screaming and crying little girl, while Jackson and Mason were snapping at Brittney and Jake. Constant fighting that never seemed to have an end.
"Maia? Seriously, are you even there?" Ryan had asked, as I watched one of his brows raise. "Yes, I'm here. What do you need?" I rolled my eyes at him, focusing on the words that came out of his mouth. "I'll take care of the body and Octavia with Madison, go calm down the little girl. She's going to break my ear drums" He muttered. "She's only little, her brother just died. What if Madison or Mason died in front of you?" I raised a brow at him, my voice softer than usual. "Beat the living out of whoever killed them" Ryan shrugged, the corners of his mouth tugging upwards. I rolled my eyes and muttered, "I'll take to her, but be careful with Octavia." I muttered. "Yea, I will. Don't worry." He said, pecking my hair before leaving my side. I swear his voice was probably the only thing that would soothe me at times when I needed comfort most. I watched him leave with a small smile, but it all disappeared when Octavia's brown eyes met mine. My smile had disappeared immediately, instead a cold and hard glare formed in my own eyes and was set on her. If I had the chance I would take her back to Morren and Myria and demand answers from everything. When has this become a game to her? When has this became a game to me? I didn't honestly think we had to win against her, she wasn't probably the strongest. Yet I shouldn't hold my doubts considering I only just met her.
I had only realized that I was locked into another trance in her eyes, until someone had blocked my view. I sighed in relief and thanked Madison silently, if she hadn't blocked my view I would still probably be standing there like I was lost. I turned and walked over to Bella and Amy who were still tending the small girl. She had hazel eyes, and reddish hair the curled onto her shoulders. Her face was burning red as her eyes squeezed shut, endless tears wetting her face with her mouth open to a agonized scream. I crouched down in front of the girl, easily reaching her height and listened to Bella and Amy try to shush her. "I've see you made progress." I muttered to Amy. She sighed and muttered to me "She won't stop crying, I'm afraid she'll die because of all the tears she's produced." I grinned slightly at her words before turning my attention back to the little girl. "Hey," I said softly to her, taking her tightly balled up fists away from her head. She finally opened her eyes to stare at me, but her crying had not stopped. "Hey sweetie" I smiled, rubbing her slightly chubby cheeks. "Can you do me a favor?" I asked her quietly, brushing her damp hair back behind her ears. The little girl didn't bother to speak but only shrug, tiny whimpers escaping her mouth. "What's your name, sweetie?" I asked her gently.
