Ha! 👻💀 The Templars might be involved eh. Maybe, they will know more secrets about this killer? Hmmm. Or maybe, Connor and Eva will have something else to worry about on this adventure. 😏 Enjoy guys.
1780- The way to New York was a bit long, however, Connor and Eva were perfectly adaptable to one another's company. Little did anyone suspect, Connor was starting to develop feelings for Eva. Eva, able to hide it well, had also developed feelings for him. Yet, Connor never thought of himself ever being with anyone, nor did Eva think that it was possible, so the two didn't explain those feelings to each other, leaving the other clueless.
Once in New York, Connor and Eva came across Franklin's workshop. They entered into a room full of strange inventions and blueprints and Franklin was seen wearing huge goggles. "Ah, Master Kenway," exclaimed Franklin, "How good it is to see you again. Have you heard about the news? I've finally found out how to persuade the French to secure the Colonial French border. Fur trade and wood-stock. Yes, I've done it again." Connor laughed and smiled. "Hello, Dr. Franklin."
Then Benjamin noticed Eva from behind Connor and asked, "And who is this lovely lady, may I ask?" Eva smiled. "I'm Eva," she said, shaking his hand. "And a pleasure it is to meet you, Miss Eva," replied Franklin. Benjamin looked at Connor and said, "Come over here, please. I want to show you something." They went over to a desk table of his and on it was a map. Connor looked over it carefully. It showed mostly of the known world and the places where the Assassin Brotherhoods were and Templar Rites were located. Connor, intrigued, asked, "Dr. Franklin. Where did you find this?" Franklin paced a little and replied, "Oh, an associate of mine handed it to me not too long ago. He said it was important for the Assassins and I happened to know one. Ha ha. Funny the way life works." Connor said smiling, "With this we will be able to find the Templars much faster and end these mysterious ghostly killings."
Franklin said, "Ah, yes. The killings. They are more frequent now aren't they. Well I suppose we have a problem needing solving. Oh, and may I have a word with you, Connor, alone?" Connor nodded. "We'll be right back, Miss Eva," explained Benjamin. He took Connor to the back room and they sat down.
"Master Kenway," began Franklin, "I know that you have a lot on your plate, and I know that you may not think of such things at these times..." Connor leaned forward, intently in his chair. "But how is Miss Eva? Is she getting along with you? Is she funny?" Connor smiled and said, "She is great company. She is always there when I need her, and I can talk to her whenever I need to." Franklin nodded and asked, "That all?" Connor, curious, asked, "Why the sudden interest, if I may ask, Doctor?" Franklin leaned back in his chair and said, "No real matter, really, except that I remember once when you admitted that no woman would ever want to love you." Connor said, "I don't think of myself as one that women would fall in love with, sir. I'm too busy. I can't hold interesting conversations, I freeze when I speak to any girl that I fancy, and I don't know the first thing on how to attract a girl."
"But you fancy Miss Eva, am I correct?" asked Franklin. Connor began to blush, which made Benjamin smile. "So," began Franklin, "You are in love with Miss Eva." Connor sat up. "I may have some feelings for her, but that proves nothing. She probably doesn't even like me in the first place." Franklin asked, "How do you know? You can't read her mind. Besides, you're the only man she is around. She seems to not mind you being around her." Connor looked at the floor. He didn't know what to say. "Think about it, Connor," said Franklin. "Give her a present, or ask her about more personal things. I happen to have experience with this sort of thing throughout my lifetime. It never hurts to try." Connor asked, "What kind of gift would you propose? I don't know the ways of women."
Benjamin nodded. He stood up. "Well, I don't know how she feels about specific items, but perhaps you give her a weapon that she is lacking with some flowers and chocolates." Connor thought to himself, "Well, she does like knives and guns. She is quiet about her love life. Maybe she just loves weapons. But then again, I love weapons too. I'll give her a knife. And a necklace." At least he could make a decision. But the problem was when would he tell her that he loved her? Did she really even love him back?
They went back into the main room and found Eva just holding a rose by the window in the sunshine. As soon as Connor saw that image in front of him, he blushed and turned to the opposite side. Franklin chuckled a little but stopped and Eva noticed them. "Hello, Dr.Franklin. I was just admiring your rose. Sorry. Did you and Connor have a good chat?" Franklin said, turning to Connor, "Yes....um....Connor?" Connor looked at him and realizing the situation, suddenly couldn't feel the warmth of his blood and nervously answered, "What? Me?" He was put on the spot.
Benjamin said, "You wanted to ask Eva something, Connor? You know. The question." Connor sustained his anxiety and said to Eva, "Eva. You know the trail on the edge of the city?" Eva nodded and made a little smile. "Would you go with me to walk down it?"asked Connor under pressure. Eva looked aside but then back at Connor and said, "Why not." Connor smiled and said, "Great. Umm....and Dr. Franklin, thank you so much for the help that you gave me. It was really inspiring." Franklin laughed and said, "Anytime, my good friend. Oh! But when you're done, do come back here to me. I certainly don't want you to leave without me telling you this." Connor nodded, and him and Eva went out to the trail.
