1781- After days of endless sailing and continuous story telling, Israel and Connor finally spotted land. The North American continental coast. They were north enough that the Boston Harbor wasn't far away at all. The Assassin Brotherhood would be waiting for his return. Connor unfurled all of the sails of their little ship and Israel secured the hatches. They were picking up speed now.
"Hey, Connor," called Israel, "do you think that the Assassins will accept a man of my....skin color?" Connor smiled, knowing that Israel was nervous due to his life being exposed by prejudice people, and knowing the he, himself, was Native American Indian, said, "Yes, Israel. I believe that they would be glad to have you as an addition to our cause." Israel smiled as he continued knotting the ropes.
"Boston is just up ahead, Israel. The Brotherhood will take care of everything. Do not worry," added the Mohawk Assassin. As much as Connor wanted to have Israel join, however, he hoped that Israel wouldn't be killed on one of the missions. After all, the Ghost was still roaming the lands of the Frontier. Connor still had to see who the ghost was.
Not long after, they docked their little ship at the Harbor. Israel got out of the boat and onto the dock. He looked around. He had never been to Boston before. People came along. Connor unloaded the ship of its cargo in the meantime. One of the Assassin associates noticed Kenway and ran to him and Israel. "Master Kenway! Master Kenway!" he cried out as he ran to Connor. The Native Assassin looked up from what he was doing at the other Assassin and recognized him. "Sir," said the Colonial Assassin, "it's so good to see returned home after your capture. Come with me quick. The others are meeting at the cemetery." Israel looked at Connor. He nodded to Israel. Then they went with the other Assassin.
They had come to the Boston cemetery where a few other members were waiting. Faulkner, and Eva were there and so was Benjamin Franklin. After catching up on things, it was now time to discuss the adoption of Israel into the Brotherhood. "He has helped me escape slavery. The British tortured the slaves in Jamaica. It was good enough for him to help me escape the West Indies. His fighting is good and he's loyal. He shows no reasons that we should not have him join us in our cause to hunt down the Templars." After Connor finished saying these things, the members looked at each other.
Mr. Faulkner spoke up and said to Israel, "What skills do you possess, lad?" Israel looked up at Faulkner calmly and replied, "I am skilled in fighting, hunting, farming, sailing, navigating, stolen literature arts, and building, and mechanics. I was told that these skills would be of use for your cause, sir." Benjamin Franklin spoke up, "Mr. Israel, sir. You seem to have good knowledge with manual physics and functions. Have you ever been in the slave network?" Israel noodled and responded, "Yes, sir." Benjamin asked, "Have you ever killed anyone before?" "Yes, sir," replied Israel, more intensely now. Faulkner looked at the other members. One of the members, Watson, who Connor had met on his journey before, spoke up and said, "Then, we shall have a vote then. Those in favor of not letting Mr. Israel join the Assassin Brotherhood, say, 'Aye.' " No one spoke. Connor looked around. Everyone was silent. Watson continued, "Those in favor of letting Mr. Israel join the Brotherhood, say, 'Aye.' " Everyone responded, "Aye!"
Connor shook Israel's hand and said, "Welcome to the Order of the Assassin Brotherhood, Mr. Israel." Faulkner ordered, "Present the new member his accessories."
A hooded Assassin caring a wooden box walked over to Israel.
Israel looked at Connor to proceed. Connor smiled and nodded. Israel opened the box and inside, he found a pair of two hidden blades. Israel smiled as he took them out. The hooded Assassin took one of Israel's arms and strapped one hidden blade onto it. Then the Assassin took the other arm and strapped the next hidden blade onto it. Israel moved his arms around, testing the weight of them. They felt light. However, Israel did not know how to use them.
Connor stood next to Israel and acted as a model for him. Connor ignited his own hidden blade. "With your left arm, flick your wrist and tense your arm which will push the blade ejection trigger and the blade will shoot out. Israel did so and ignited his left hidden blade successfully. The members clapped in approval for him. Then, with his left arm, Israel used the same tactic and ignited the right blade. The members were all impressed. "Well done," said the Mohawk Assassin, "you are now bearing the name of Assassin Israel. You are now called, Brother." Israel smiled as he sheathed the blades back at his wrists. Connor said, "I brought you some materials for a hood to be stitched for you. Hear they are." Connor gave the new Assassin a red sheet of cloth material. Israel smiled even more. "Thank you, my friends," said Israel fighting back tears. Connor patted Israel's back. This was a good time to witness.
Later, Eva and Connor were walking by the docks. "So," said Eva, "you made friends in the West Indies? That seems interesting." Connor laughed a little. "We have safe passage from the Colonies to the entire Caribbean Sea because I had helped an organization of buccaneers with some tasks of theirs. Now the Aquila can sail freely wherever on the Eastern seaboard." Eva smiled. "I missed you, Ratonhnhake: ton." She hugged him. Connor held her tight. "I missed you too, Eva." Then they kissed. The time was spent perfectly.
