What up, my brothers and sisters!!!!!!!!! So I really liked the last chapter. I mean, Roanoke Island....... The Lost Colony of America..... The unsolved mystery that must be solved! Hahahaha!!!!!! Sorry. That was a moment of dramatic relief. But anyway, I want to solve this mystery of who killed the diplomat. So, without further ado, let's do this guys!!!!!!

1781- The Assassins seemed to now have the upper hand. Two chests have now been found, and the reason for why they had been brought up was simple. The 'Old Sea Captain' wanted it to enrich his spirit. But there was one problem. The mission was not complete, and it was far from over. The Assassins and Mr. Faulkner, still were on Roanoke Island searching for the Templar. Connor was picking up clues of the Templar's tracks which led them into an old Manor.
"By God," declared Faulkner who stood in shock of the old manor,"It be the old Raleigh Manor." Connor turned toward Faulkner. "What of its significance is so intriguing to you, Mr. Faulkner?" Connor asked in his usual smooth voice. "It be the home of Sir Walter Raleigh. Founder of Roanoke Island, and former British privateer." This was interesting to Kenway. The Mohawk Assassin stated, "I would very much like to explore that manor over there. If Raleigh was a privateer, then I am positive that there might be some clues or something to discover." Israel took out his hunting rifle and loaded it. Then they went to the manor.
Once at the door of the house, Connor turned the doorknob. The door was locked. Kenway took out his lock pick and worked at the lock. The lock broke and Connor pushed open the door. As the door opened, it made a very loud creaking sound. Cobwebs ripped off as it opened as well. Connor looked at Israel and said, "Behind you, Israel." Israel rolled his eyes, and walked on in with the rest of them following. Inside was a huge entry room where you could see a balcony, and a second floor hallway. The place was old and abandoned. The stairs that led to the second floor were broken off and fallen.
At Connor's feet he saw red stains. He analyzed them. "Blood," he said aloud, "There is blood at the door." Eva said, "So that means that there is something up with this place." Connor nodded in agreement. Then, they all heard something echo through the house. Footsteps or thuds, somewhere were moving in the house. Outside it began to thunder and rain. Lightning lit up the interior of the house, creating new shadows. They moved towards the balcony wall. The stairs were broken so there was no way of getting up there without any stairs. "We will need to climb up to get to the next floor," stated Connor. "Oh no," complained Mr. Faulkner, "Climbing. That's just dandy. I'm old, Cap'n. How's an old jack-tar like me going to climb up a wall?" Israel patted Faulkner's shoulder and said, "Fear not, mate. I'll pull you up." Faulkner hardly cared.
The footsteps began again. They echoed throughout the place. But regardless, they began to climb up. Connor grabbed hold of the balcony railing and hopped over with Eva following. Israel climbed up halfway, breached down and grabbed up Mr. Faulkner. Then they both hopped over the railing. Israel panted. But he was good and then they began to look around the hallway. The walls held portraits of the Raleigh family members and other people and paintings of objects and landscapes. Some paintings, however, were more Gothic styled, a style in which, Kenway had never seen before. The dark Gothic painting was that of a dark sky and landscape. Off to the side, though, he spotted a dark figure in the image. It was most peculiar looking. But he didn't think too much of it.
"If I have any say in this matter," began Eva, who now was gazing across the paintings, "I'd say that we should split up across the house. That way, we might find whatever it is that is making these creepy sounds." Connor didn't like the idea of splitting up at a time like this, mostly because he didn't want the girl of his life hurt or anything. He knew fully that she could fend for herself but that wasn't the point. However, Eva did in fact, have a say in this matter because she was, indeed, a member of the Assassin Brotherhood Order. Connor looked at her and said in response, "Very well. If it pleases you to split up and see if we can cover more area, than so be it. But should either of you find anything of importance, you are to call. Are we all clear on that?" Israel and Faulkner nodded and then Eva smiled happily. Connor did consider her ideas.
So they split up to different sections of the old manor and looked around for whatever was making the noises and for the Templar murder. Connor pointed his pistol in his left hand as he walked through the hallways and rooms slowly. His tomahawk, ready to strike, was gripped tightly in his right hand. He moved into a room on the left. Windows were along the walls and furniture was unused and old. As Connor progressed in the floorboards creaked. He hated when that happened with a passion. He noticed shiny coins were dropped at various parts of the floor but most of it lead to the next flight of stairs, which lead to an old basement. He walked slowly that way, passing the furniture, and he noticed that each piece of money was stained with blood. This was surely that way to the killer. He was at the staircase now and looked down it. Money was still scattered but at the bottom was a black basement door and a huge lumberjack axe. He put away his tomahawk and went down the stairs. As he turned the old doorknob, it broke off and he held it in his hand. "Great," he thought to himself, "Now the doorknob is broken off and it appears that the entire handle mechanism is broken off a bit as well so there is now using a key or lock-picking it to open it up." Then he saw the lumberjack axe. He picked it up in his hands. He lifted it back and with the blunt of the handle, he pushed open the black door into the basement.
Dust was everywhere. Connor looked around the pitch black darkness and saw that the money trail ended there. But the blood only grew more along into the darkness. Light came through a gash in the wall in the back to where he could make out a figure sitting down in a chair. But this dark figure did just look like an ordinary man. It had glowing red eyes and long black hair. It looked at Connor, who now was a bit intimidated by this demonic being, and smiled revealing razored teeth. It began to laugh a deep, gutting, wicked laugh that the Assassin had never heard before. Connor raised the axe in front of himself. "Tell me of whom you serve, fiend, for when I am finished mutilating your corpse, I shall be joyful to do the same to them," said the Mohawk Indian Assassin to frighten the demonic person.
The being responded to the Indian, "Petty little man of such pretense freedom and liberty. Assassin, Indian, pirate, patriot, and lover. You are the thorn in my Master's side, Connor Kenway. The Assassin who killed Grandmaster Haytham Kenway not too long ago. Intriguing to me, this is. My Master, the 'Old Sea Captain', would pay a pretty good sum for your head due to all the trouble you caused. Haha! Yes, he would indeed. I am the associate of the Templar's. You followed me, and now, you must die."
The fiend charged with extreme speed out of the darkness and rammed a tackle into Connor, throwing the Assassin into the staircase. The fiend was on top of Connor and tried to stab at him with a hidden blade, but Connor ignited his own and held a parrying position. He still held onto the axe, which was in between them and he pushed it forward to make space. Then, the Assassin kicked the fiend off of him and got up of his feet. He ran to the top of the stairs and looked back.
The demonic looking man stood up and snarled. Then he advanced towards Connor. That is when Kenway took the axe and swung it at the adversary. He sliced the fiend across his face, then threw the axe at him. But the fiend dodged it and smiled. Connor backed up and ignited his Mayan sword. This was the same sword that was once owned by the infamous pirate, Captain William Kidd. The fiend also wielded a sword and flourished it around. The space in the room was big enough to fight in. They circled each other. Lightning flashed, revealing the wound on the being's face.
Then, they clashed blades. Connor attacked first, and kept on throwing his skillful blows at the being who skillfully parried them. But the the being counter attacked Connor and sliced the Assassin's arm and punched him in the mouth, causing it to bleed. Connor spat out blood and angrily snarled at the demonic fiend who seemed not to care. But Connor drew out his flintlock and shot the fiend in the side and shoulder. The fiend screamed in agony and then Connor took out his hidden blade and stabbed the fiend in the chest. Then, the being fell back on the floor and bled out.
Connor hovered over the man without pity. His pistol, still had smoke fume from the barrel. Connor knelt down and asked the creature with hidden anger, "Tell why it was that you killed Carter at the Town Hall building in Boston." The fiend replied through heavy breaths, "Curse you, Assassin. I.....I did it to.....follow my.......my master's......orders........to obey. He.....wanted the.....locations of the treasure.....and then.....we found it and......I killed Carter after he......after he shot me.....and I .....took the map.....and it said.....go to Roanoke Island......but now I.....have failed my master.....and failed the Templars.....thanks to you.....and your bloody Creed......the money was cursed......blood money. The next treasure.....location is.......at the Mayan.......Mayan Temple in......Mexico. Or......was it.....Aztec Temple? It was......Mayan and Aztec treasure. But.....you will not find it......the Ghost is.....already....killing victims....for it. You have.....a choice now. Return to....Boston, or......sail to claim the....pirate treasure. You are cursed......either way, unless God favors you.....if you believe in Him.....you are doomed to Hades." Connor watched now that the fiend had finally died and replied, "I believe in the Great Spirit. I am saved from your curses, demon. Be at rest."
